Radisson Hotel St. Paul Downtown

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night during a recent visit to St. Paul for a Minnesota Wild game. I checked in around 4:00 PM, the lady behind the counter was incredibly friendly and pleasant to talk to. One of the reasons why we wanted to stay here was an advertised free shuttle to the Xcel Energy Center on their website and there was posted information right at the front desk, didn't even need to ask. After refreshing in our hotel room, the shuttle to Xcel was ready to go a bit early so we headed to our game. The shuttle driver was also very friendly and told us were to go after the game. When the game was over the shuttle was exactly where he said it would be and we got on and they quickly brought us back to the hotel. The driver was once again very happy and friendly. The stay in the room was pleasant, the bed was comfortable, and everything was well maintained. It's obviously and older hotel but nothing is rundown/damaged, so they clearly take care of it and keep things in well working order. In the morning the person behind the counter was once again extremely friendly and helpful, and talked to me about the game the night before. This hotel must make an effort to high the friendliest people they can find and it is very noticeable. We have stayed at other hotels closer to Xcel downtown for events, but this one is the best, by far. The friendly staff, the well maintained rooms, and the free shuttle put it over the top. We will plan on staying here from now on whenever we come to Xcel.

Very clean room and friendly staff. I love the jacuzzi and the shuttle service to xcel center, this makes it great for concerts. The pool area very clean too. Location is great, very walkable in nice weather. Restaurant has good food too. I will return.

Pretty much your standard hotel experience. The view of the Cathedral outside of our room was great. The shuttle service was top notch. The breakfast was above average as well. The room was 78 degrees and the a/c did not work. I called the front desk after we realized the room was not cooling down and was told that the hotel is all on one heating system and when they turn on the heater for the winter, they can't change it. He said he adjusted the thermostat, but we didn't see a difference. Out of desperation, I check the window and found out I could open it about 6" and that was enough to cool the room slightly. There was no screen so I guess bugs or something could get in the room, but that didn't happen. I have read several reviews and it seems like this is a problem that has been going on for a while and, even though the responses say the problem has been fixed, or addressed, it doesn't seem to have been.

I travel most of the month of September each year and visit 3-4 cities and their stadiums. I am also a 35 year veteran of the hospitality industry. The Radisson St Paul blew me away. From check-in (McKenzie), to the pub (Daniel and Haley), to the Breakfast Czar herself (Vivian) Your Team truly embodies the best of Mid-West warmth and hospitality. The property is very modern and the amenities are perfect. Great pool and spa! The neighborhood is so-so but the location is ideal for visiting area events and attractions. A great experience. I highly recommend you and hope to see you all again soon!

How do you not have usb outlet/chargers in the room? At the least you could have one available at the front desk. Also $15 to park in an unsecured out door lot??? This place is on the border of the ghetto but my room was clean still a disappointment
