Hyatt Place St. Paul Downtown

The staff was very helpful. The hotel is clean and gorgeous. It is an old building with a lot of charm and character. I would stay here again. Breakfast was well stocked and good. The bar/ lounge was a nice thing as we closed out our evening. We would gladly stay here again.

Valet stole items from my glove box and console. Front desk manager could only take my phone number and have the valet company manager call me, as “the valet is a third-party”. If the valet company called, they left no message and I have no way to follow up. Can not recommend and will not valet my car in the future.

This hotel is a gem! It is built in an old customs house and uses some of the old architecture (i.e. doors) as decorative elements or to divide spaces. It adds historical interest to the place. But don't think it's an OLD hotel... anything but. Everything is clean and in good repair... bright and cheery. The rooms are far more spacious than other area hotels we have stayed in. There are many living room type areas throughout the hotel to congregate in a group, a cute little bar area for a late night glass of wine. The breakfast includes hot and cold options with ample comfortable seating. The hotel is pet friendly as well. Our room was large enough to entertain in, the beds/bedding were so comfortable (awesome pillows!), and the bathroom large. Little details... a soft close shower door, read ceramic coffee mugs in the room, a full ironing board in the room... made this place feel like a stay at a higher price point. This Hyatt is located on the Mississippi River in the heart of downtown St. Paul. You can walk to many area attractions and restaurants. Union Depot is right next door. We plan to make this our go to St Paul hotel.

This hotel is perfect if you have an event at Union Depot (which I did). Comfortable bed, clean room, complimentary breakfast and a short walk to Union Depot. The staff is friendly. I had a package sent to me that never arrived, and they were helpful during and after my stay with watching for it and returning it.

Love the historic charm, yet completely updated. Rooms are large, very tall ceilings and window so lots of natural light. Everytging was very vlean. Very good free breakfast. Cheap parking across the street. Overall great value and would certainly come back!
