When I first checked into the hotel I checked the beds including the pullout for cleanliness. Our pull out bed had cracker crumbs and hair in it. The staff member that checked me in immediately resolved the issue by changing the sheet. Later that evening we realized our room for 5 people only had 2 towel sets in it. I called and she immediately brought 5 clean sets of towels along with bedding for the pullout which was also missing from the room. Late into the evening we noticed gross cleanliness issues with the room. There was garbage under the pullout, wrappers and an empty water bottle. There was a pretzel under the bed skirt. The next day I told the staff as soon as we left the room. He said he would let the housekeeping manager know. When we returned the room had not been cleaned, but our dirty towels had been removed from the room. Next to the fridge was mold, mildew, and dust. Every time we went to the pool it was out of towels, we had to bring our room towels down or walk to the front desk dripping. They had towels at the front desk, apparently it was too much trouble to bring them to the pool area where they are needed. We were also told we couldn't leave the breakfast area with food, then the staff complained that we stayed in the breakfast area past 9 since we couldn't leave the breakfast area. Also the hot tub was out of order for the entire stay, I feel this should be removed as an amenity if it's out of order. Also the secure entrances were not locked at night, the locks were broken allowing free access to the building. There was 1 treadmill in the fitness center and it was broken and unsafe. This was absolutely the worst hotel experience I have had in over 15 years. It was not worth the money I paid. Overall the staff was unresponsive to concerns and there was never an onsite manager listed on the board to contact. Not only has this made me question La Quinta it has but I will steer clear of all Wyndham hotel group affiliated properties.

Rooms were large, but definitely dated. The carpet looked old and like it would fall apart. Shower pressure was good, beds were comfy enough. Issues we had: - certain areas of the hotel were F I L T H Y, like the bathrooms - front desk staff was almost always on their phone, either listening to a video out loud or taking calls on speaker. really bizarre - breakfast was cold and unappetizing. ran out of hot food at around 9am - laundry machine was broken - so many loud, screaming children! we visited in the middle of winter so not like it was summer or anything. we were woken up in the middle of the night by a child across the hall banging on our neighbor's door - parking lot wasn't shoveled or salted, so good luck getting into the hotel during winter (especially a MN winter!) Not a great experience and I can't recommend this hotel, especially for Mayo patients. Way too many little oversights and the price was not exactly budget.

So good the booking went fast and seamless I appreciate that the staff was very included with the guests interacting I'm adding another night and they are so caring and professional at the desk and on the app it's not giving me the run around that Acosta did when they canceled my 2 nights and kept my money.

We stayed the night of Thanksgiving, and the hotel was near empty. There was a sign the pool was not working on arrival, a pet peeve of mine since that is a reason we selected the location and the website did not state the pool was closed. We accepted it and moved on with check in. Our first room seemed clean but the toilet was not at all clean (crusty and yellow stained bowl, outer rim and seat). It was a new looking toilet and was clearly not cleaned. On further glance it seemed housekeeping may not have finished the room - no coffee with the coffee maker, no laundry bag, for example. The washroom situation was disappointing but we were willing to overlook it since we were tired... Then the TV did not work. The friendly front desk staff tried to fix the TV for us, and offered another room when they had no success. The front desk staff shared it was difficult to find reliable housekeeping and maintenance staff. The second room had a clean toilet and working TV, though still no coffee pods or other small amenities. The window was missing a layer of blinds, though we did not care much for one night. The breakfast was nearly empty of food when we arrived. No bread or rolls, no hot food except leftover egg bits, no fruit, and nearly no cereal. Inexplicably, the breakfast buffet had several containers of oyster crackers, but few other condiments. The hotel was definitely not very full, and we were unsure if there had been food there earlier or if supplies were just limited. We ended up eating elsewhere. On the way out we noticed the ice machine was also out of order; this reinforced our impression that good maintenance was proving difficult for the hotel owners. Overall it was a less than satisfying stay, though front desk staff were quite friendly and attempted to help where they could with various quirks. I would hope once they find more staff that it would be possible to improve on housekeeping and maintenance items. The hotel itself seems fairly nice and newer, so there is a lot of potential here.

My husband is a Mayo Clinic patient and this was our go-to hotel. It was always great. Happily, Mayo told us in 2021 that we could wait 3 years to come back. So we booked our October 2024 hotel with this LaQuinta, always our go-to. We wonāt go to it anymore. I will give 5 stars for cleanliness. The hotel hallways and our room were very clean. And the bed was comfortable. Thatās the only good thing we can say. The front desk staff was rude. We asked for coffee pods the afternoon prior to our second and final morning and were told they didnāt have any. After some pressing, the desk clerk came out with two and said thatās all they had. The breakfast buffet had no fruit at all. Thereās always a little store-like area with travel size items and snacks. It was totally barren, absolutely nothing in it. The pool was closed both days we were here. The faucet water in the bathroom had such a strong chemical smell (chlorine?) that it would make us gag when brushing our teeth. A big plus for staying here was that there was a free shuttle (privately operated) that would take the Mayo patients downtown to the clinic. We found out upon checking in that the shuttle service abruptly stopped 3 months ago. The desk clerk did not know why. We had to drive downtown and pay $18 for Mayo to valet park us, which wasnāt bad for the day, but had we been told that when we made the reservation TWO months ago, we would have opted to spend the extra money and stay at a hotel close to the clinic. Which is what we will do when we come back in two years. Bottom line, avoid the LaQuinta Rochester.
