EVEN Hotel Rochester Mayo Clinic Area an IHG Hotel

We love staying here when we come for check ups at Mayo! It’s a clean and quiet place. The front desk and housekeeping are always helpful. The free shuttle, esp the Flamingo lady, food at the restaurant & underground parking are great! Highly recommend!

Great hotel to stay at while my husband was having his annual physical at Mayo. Free transport to the Clinic and lots of comfortable open public spaces and amenities. The staff was very friendly and parking was very handy. Only miss was we didn’t get housekeeping, so we had to obtain supplies from the front desk. We would stay there again.

Coming to Rochester to visit Mayo Clinic can be and is one of the hardest realities for many, as it is the last hope for finding solutions to medical issues. So, finding a place to feel safe and cared for during your stay is immensely important. The EVEN Hotel in Rochester is truly this place. The hotel room I stayed in was roomy and did not feel like a "sterile hotel room." I had a separate living area with a microwave, refrigerator, and accessible bathroom. I had two bathrooms, I might add! Lastly, their commons area was so inviting, open, and airy, with multiple places to sit with a wonderful roaring fire. IT was SO inviting and did not feel like a hotel at all. They also provided good coffee with three brew options at a free coffee station. Lastly, and what truly impressed me the most, was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. First of all, they know your name from the start and address you directly. One day, I had a rough pain day due to my condition, and they were so compassionate and made sure to check on me to see if I needed help. It was truly a blessing to stay at this hotel. If you are facing a medical situation and the stress that can bring, consider EVEN Hotel, as you will be cared for by their amazing staff and their lovely facilities.

Staff are unresponsive, it’s very difficult to get their attention for the smallest of questions. I was unable to find a member of staff to help with my request. In the end I gave up trying. I would not recommend this hotel, if you expect to communicate with them.

Beyond my comfortable and clean room and bathroom, the useful in-room exercise equipment and great gym, and the surprisingly delicious food I ordered from the bar, my experience at this hotel surpassed my expectations when a manager helped me through a difficult situation. I parked one stormy evening in a Starbucks space under the hotel when all else was full. I intended to move my car the next morning before Starbucks reopened, but forgot to do so before catching the Mayo Clinic shuttle. When I called the hotel, I eventually received a call back from Nick. Because I had back-to-back appointments, I couldn't return to move my car. Nick drove to the clinic, picked up my keys from me at the front entrance, moved my car, and returned my keys and a nice note to my room. He also texted me a photograph of my keys in my room. Nick's willingness to go above and beyond is commendable, and he is a primary reason I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Mayo.
