Residence Inn by Marriott Minneapolis Plymouth

Another great stay. After our last stay, we were looking forward to returning. This time, it was Rm 214. There are no pictures this time. The room looks exactly like the company website for a studio unit. It is located steps from the elevator and directly above the breakfast area. One quirk about the room we found humorous after we figured it out is that one can hear the juice machine every time someone fills their glass. The windows overlook a roof, but this also can mean less chance of someone in the parking lot seeing what's happening in your room. I alerted the manager to a minor maintenance issue at check-out, and I heard her alert the staff almost immediately. I like that the rooms at Residence Inn are comfortable enough to just relax in due to the designated lounge area. This unit does not come equipped with a stove, only a two-burner electric cooktop. Breakfast is filling.

Stayed for 7 night, hotel is clean and comfortable. The room is large and was great to have small kitchen area to make food and drinks. The hotel was quiet too, did not hear one banging door late at night during the whole stay. Will be staying here again as far better than the Crowne Plaza.

This used to be a good hotel. I am a Marriott Gold Elite member and I booked my room from the Marriott website well in advance. I was arriving late on the day of check-in , so I called ahead of time to ensure that I was going to be there. I was expecting a room on the top floor (my Marriott account notes the preference), instead, I was given a suite on the first floor. It smelled awful upon entering, so I called the front desk. But they said no other suites were available, which was a bit odd because the hotel did not look as busy. A large portion of the hotel is closed off; i.e. possibly the newer rooms upstairs. I have stayed here in the past and there are cleaner and better rooms for sure. Looks like they are into cost-cutting these days. The 1st floor is poorly maintained and probably gets a lot of traffic. This is my second bad experience with a Residence Inn. I am no longer confident about the quality of Residence Inns. The couch had food particles, the furniture is worn out, the toilets and bath tubs are old and stained. There is no way this hotel can get a 4.5/5! Very disappointed.

The Mr is currently working in Plymouth and ‘living’ in the Residence Inn. He’s lived in a variety of different hotels over the last couple of years, and this by far is his favorite. Mine too! After spending the weekend, I have nothing but praise for the location, cleanliness, and staff of this top notch hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Loved our stay. In various locations we have been in a RI studio, two-bedroom unit, Townhome and now the fireplace unit. While in the area for our anniversary, I decided to splurge. I wanted a suite that didn't have the hotel furniture look to it and I wanted a place we would be totally content to hang out in should the weather not cooperate (it didn't). I enjoyed how we could partition off the bathroom from the bedroom and main room. It was nice to have two televisions for when one of us woke earlier and didn't want to disturb the other. The provided breakfast was decently varied, and we always crave the convenience of having a unit where we can cook for ourselves instead of being 100% reliant on take out. Having a full-size range/oven over just a counter top cook area is nice. We stayed in room 202. I could view the indoor pool and the dog potty spot. The only possible negative was the dumpster pick up at 5:50 AM on Monday but Monday IS a workday, garbage pick-up is a necessary service, RI is more of a short-term residential lodging or business trip stay brand and many guests are already awake for the day, and I'm an adult and can realize all of this this without griping about it.
