Sheraton Minneapolis West Hotel

We were traveling out of town for a Vikings Game and wanted to stay somewhere nearby restaurants etc that didn't have the expensive parking like the downtown area has because we were gonna pay for parking to go to the game the next day and so we decided to stay at Sheraton Mpls West in Minnetonka, This is a nice hotel it looks alot more upscale for the price and its right across from the Ridgedale Mall which is a nice location, also is pretty close to several restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores, Is in a quiet area a little off the highway which is nice as the hotel was very quiet and we got a really good rest. Our room was immaculate and very spacious and comfortable. Especially the pillows in the room were very comfy. It had a coffeemaker, fridge, large flatscreen, desk area, lounging chair, closet, good sized bed and bathroom had a very large vanity, nice amenities and nice towels and blowdryer and there were ample outlets thru out the room as well and it had decent wifi, There was a beautiful lounge area as well as a nice pool...we didn't swim as we had a longer commute on the way down to the cities and wanted to just go for food and kick back and relax but it looked pretty quiet and also looked pretty nice....Parking is free which is amazing if going to a sporting event or anything as downtown parking in the cities can be very expensive, It felt overall very executive feeling and very safe, there also is a safe in the room if you need that. Really nothing but good to say about this hotel its a great value for the price you pay. Is in a nice area of the cities. Only thing would maybe say is that the breakfast there you pay for so doesn't offer free breakfast so we opted out of that and we went over to Dunn Brothers Coffee in Hopkins on our commute over to the Vikings Game. But overall we would recommend this Hotel as a good one if traveling to the cities for both price point and comfort, and sleep quality. Would recommend if going to a Vikings Game to stay here and then if go over to the game park in the Armory lot reserve parking ahead of time is a good deal and short couple blocks walk over to the game.

This hotel is incredibly disappointing. Stayed for 1 night and 1 night only. First, the hotel is set-up like the popular hotels of the 80s ("prison style" where each room door faces inside with a pool and rotunda situation in the middle). Old carpets mixed with chlorine makes for a very stuffy atmosphere (not allergy friendly). Second, the room was even worse. Broken TV, vomit on the curtains, stains on the ottoman and I won't even go into what was going on in the bathroom. Didn't take pics 'cause yuck - didn't want to get close. Discussed with front desk staff who said I'd receive a phone call or email from the manager, which I'm waiting on. A refund would be appreciated given the situation.

This hotel was so pleasant to stay at. The staff was very kind and accommodating. I wish I got the name of the young lady at the desk but I forgot to ask. It’s quiet, peaceful and comfy. Minor ant issue but nothing worth a bad review. I would stay here again without question.

MOLD ON THE WALLS!!! Told front desk and FO Supervisor responded with “what do you want me to do about it” Did not apologize, and truly didn’t care. The windows were wet with moisture, and the wall was falling apart under the windows from the water that was leaking in. Don’t stay here!!!
