Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis University Area

Hotel & room were clean. Staff friendly & helpful. Pet friendly to cats & dogs. Small, limited on site restaurant. Fridge, microwave & coffeemaker in room. Location industrial. Nothing within walking distance (ie: shops, restaurants, etc. ) Front door not working. Parking limited.

I stayed here for three nights in December prior to the holidays. The staff were extremely nice. My room was very clean. It was quiet and easy to get a good night of sleep. I worked from the hotel room during the day and it was quiet and the wifi worked fine. It’s in a good location for the University.

I came to cancel my room and was told by the person I spoke with that my room would be canceled. They never canceled it, and I was charged the full amount. When I called back to explain my situation. They told me there was nothing they could do. What a joke. And what a horrible way to do business. I’m pretty sure I need the money more than the Hilton’s do. Very disappointing. Don’t stay here.

I stayed here for one night while bringing my daughter to school. The front desk staff was quite nice. They do charge for parking which isn’t great. The rooms are large and clean. The hotel feels pretty new. There is a small pool. The room was quiet and the pillows were pretty good.

First the phone was not answered when I called 3&4 days before my stay, finally called Hilton reservation line to double check if my reservation included parking. Second -most of the desk staff were not friendly , was like quests were a burden, granted they had problems with huge internet mess so did get parking for free. (Way to small of spots in garage). Third-FOOD- breakfast ( not worth $18) and special lunch buffet on 2 separate visits- both times and places hot food was cold and ran out before all were served. One person running all of breakfast and Starbucks. Worse No, None, Zilch dining at noon or evening yet advertising dining available. Snack area- 2 sandwiches, chips, candy and pop, no vending machines. Room was clean, beds ok. only had two sets of towels in a room to hold 4. Oh and love the flower bed of one huge weed, two blooming thistles, and a huge rate trap. So I can’t recommend.
