Motel 6 Mankato MN

When we arrived we were told we'll put you in the "penthouse" worst than a regular hotel room in any hotel we've stayed at. Need a tissue? You have to go to desk to get one....what? The room sounded like it had a truck parked on the roof. Got little sleep due to that. Then in the AM my husband had to use special soap prior to surgery and tried rinsing wash rag out as well as he could but while sitting in recovery we received a call from hotel asking what we used on rag? I explained to her it was soap she was rude and I told her my husband had just gotten out of surgery she only was concerned with the $1.00 washcloth. She assured me she wouldn't charge me for the wash cloth.....I actually usually put a do not disturb sign out when I leave as we don't like having people come in our room while we're gone, but of course they don't have those available. The next morning I asked to discuss this with a manager and there wasn't one available it was the same gal that had called me in the first place. She was extremely rude and told me I didn't need to answer the call. My husband just got out of surgery it could have been the surgeon. How ridiculous. DO BETTER MOTEL 6!

I've been staying at budget hotels for my personal travels for about 11 years and this was the first time I've stayed at a Motel 6. I always made an effort to avoid Motel 6, as the reviews are typically awful. But I read all the positive reviews for this location and decided to give it a go, and now I am writing my own positive review. I had a clean and comfortable room, the hotel was quiet from a noise standpoint. and the rate was very affordable. Folks, don't complain about the limited breakfast options. This hotel costs about $80 per night. If you want a better hotel breakfast, then shell out $150+ per night to stay somewhere else. Budget hotel = budget breakfast.

Wow! This Motel 6 is unlike any other Motel 6 I have experienced. They even have an attractive light that stays on all night on the corner of the building. It might be rated as a two star motel but this one is more like a 3 or 4. Fairly new construction, very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and helpful. I understand this is the only Motel 6 that has a basic breakfast-muffins, yogurt, fruit provided free every morning in lobby. My one night stay only cost me $78. The best motel with the best price I have experienced.

Floor was filthy, towels were used, dogs were barking all night though I was on a no-pet floor. Keep away from this place! I tried to get help from the desk, but they were unresponsive, wouldn't put me in another room or give me a discount on my stay. Very cheap about money.

This was an amazing hotel. It was modern, exceptionally clean, and perfect for us and our pets. Tom, the owner was onsite and helpful. Pat at the front desk made us feel welcome. Wi-Fi was super, beds were comfortable. TV was Directv. Breakfast was light but all we needed and fresh coffee and tea were available 24/7. Stay here with the confidence that you will not be disappointed.
