Candlewood Suites Lakeville I 35 an IHG Hotel

We used the hotel to recover post hip surgery and found the 2 queen 1-bedroom quite enjoyable. The room was spacious, the kitchen well equipped (and if something was needed the desk staff was most helpful). The large refrigerator/freezer was a big plus. The bed was comfortable and the bath clean and functional. The floor/carpet could use a deep clean, however, as the feet got quite dirty. Also the pitter patter of dogs/people above can be heard but not voices. Otherwise the room provided a quiet sleep. Note: no breakfast provided and no pool.

When I entered our room it smelled somewhat unpleasant, but I assumed it was cleaning chemicals and therefore the room was clean, which I like. Our room was quiet and the temperature was comfortable. The next morning we found a huge swarm of ants in the kitchen by the garbage can. Now, I think the smell was the room being treated for ants. Thanks to the staff member who was willing to relocate us to another room as we still needed a place to stay, but I will not stay there again in the future.

Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Nicely appointed. Easy access. Safe surroundings. Convenient businesses nearby such as gas, Aldi's, Walmart, fast food, etc. Staff were friendly and accommodating. You choose when you want your room cleaned and refreshed. Free clothes washing. Gym and business room. Wifi was fast and constant. Area has nearby walking path about 2-3 blocks in length for walking circuit. Nearby construction was not offensive. Close in proximity to airport and MSP plus suburbs. Free coffee, tea. Other essentials available for purchase. Room charge made on weekly basis, if you are staying longer than 7 days. ATM machine in lobby. Beds and pillows are soft. In room kitchen with 2 countertop electric burners, toaster and full sized freezer/ refrigerator. They have a storage locker full of other kitchen appliances you can check out and use. Hotel and grounds always clean and orderly. Trash is picked up from hallway containers on a daily basis. I noticed some patrons used delivery services for food. Have hearing impaired rooms available upon request. Pets and service animals welcome. Would definitely choose this hotel again when in need of accommodations in the area.

They are on top of their game. Most enthusiastic reception at the front desk that I've had in a long time, with great advice on breakfast options nearby. The room was unusually fresh and clean,very comfortable bed, linens and towels. They have a good thing going on here!!

Highly recommend this hotel. It is brand new. Perfect location right off of I-35W. Mitch, the General Manager went above and beyond to take care of us at check in. It is PET friendly with only certain rooms allowing pets. Great grass area around the hotel for your animals. Clean, clean, clean. They clearly take a lot of pride in this hotel and it shows. The kitchenette is awesome for cooking in your room and a full size fridge. All the comforts of home !!!
