La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Minneapolis Minnetonka

The front desk employee (lady) was so pushy and rude. She was rushing me to pay up but we had paid for the room already. THE, she proceeded to give me a room that someone else already had. I was mortified when someone opened the door s I was sliding my card in. Then, when I went to change my room, she made me feel like crap for bringing my cat and did not acknowledge that my pet was an ESA. She had a bad attitude and she shouldnt be working here to be honest. BAHHHH!

Beautifully situated in a quiet, charming area, this place is full of character. The rooms are clean, cosy, and thoughtfully furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff strike the perfect balance—polite, attentive, but never intrusive. Overall, a wonderful experience that combines comfort, warmth, and a touch of elegance.

Hotel is very nice and clean. We picked this hotel due to its convenient location and affordable price including breakfast. My husband and I were immediately welcomed by Maureen’s friendly smile and awesome personality. We are pretty happy staying here and her presence at the front desk makes us more comfortable! I highly advise to stay here. Please ask Maureen to help you with your needs.

Quiet hotel but needs some updating. Staff asked questions but didn't really follow through on my responses making me feel as if they either didn't listen or care. The room was ok, there was a tear in the curtain. Not a big deal, but really an easy fix. The bathroom on the other hand, was just laziness. Mold on the showerhead and crusty soap on the soap bottles...no thanks!

If this was a 2 star hotel, I would have given this a 3, but I expect a little more from a 3 start hotel. Pros - cheap, dog friendly, clean-ish. The bed and bathroom was clean. Sometimes you just need a clean-ish, pet-friendly place where all you need is a place to lay your head. Breakfast had a better selection than many similar places. Only $25 a night for a dog, Cons - significant pot smell upon entrance and each subsequent entry. I had to ask for a coffee maker for my room. The bathroom had seen some repairs, but it was obvious with a slightly different paint color and different wall texture. There were bulging points in the wall of the bathroom (forgot to take a picture of that!). Burn marks on the microwave stand. Scrapes on the wall that hadn't been repaired. The extension cord for the microwave cart was just dangling...not secured to the wall or on the floor. Very dated. The sheets were weirdly scratchy (just low quality...not bugs) and I had a hard time getting comfortable. The surrounding landscape was shockingly full of dog poop and the doggie doodoo garbage was overflowing. The exterior side door did not lock. In the future, even if it is more expensive, I'm heading to a competitor. Sometimes saving a few bucks is not worth it.
