AmericInn by Wyndham Wetmore Munising

Great , clean and modern hotel right on the snowmobile trail. Ample parking even for longer trailers. This hotel as a very nice pool area including a sauna, hot tub, and pool for all ages. The breakfast could use an upgrade is the only reason it wasn't ranked a 5☆

I'm generally partial to the AmericInn chain, but this one was a bit of a letdown. The lobby looked nice, and check-in went fine, but when we opened the door of our room, I was hit by a smell of mildew. Another problem was that the tub drain barely drained at all, so showers weren't fun. Oh, and the alarm on the room clock jolted us awake at 5:30 a.m. Don't they check those? I was shocked to discover there was no in-room coffee. I've always had that at AmericInns. So I padded down the hall in my pj's, observed there was a coffee station in the lobby with no actual coffee, then padded through the breakfast room to finally get a cup. It was weak. Breakfast offerings were pretty mediocre. Other than that, our stay was fine. I will say that the desk clerk's recommendation of the Buckhorn restaurant was a good one. Loved the lake view there. Restaurant staff were very friendly, and the food was good.

Carpet smelled musty in the room, a hard floor would be nice. Lobby is lacking for gathering space and the furniture was old and could use a cleaning. Coffee was weak and watery, breakfast was subpar.

Great pool and accommodations Close to munising. Short drive to the picture rocks docks at a lower price than downtown munising

The queen beds in our room were so hard, it felt like you were sleeping on boards. The pillows felt like they had concrete mix in them. The lights between the beds were broken, so the room was dark at night.
