It’s fine. We had no bugs, smells, or disruptions, and it was clean. Furniture is dinged up, and fixtures tired and worn, but work. Beds supportive and comfortable. Tile/LVT flooring, updated shower (and great water pressure). Since it’s a 2-star level, that means no hairdryer, no clock, samples of shampoo and conditioner, no microwave in room, only 2 pillows per person. They had coffee and milk and cereal and a microwave in the lobby. They are concerned about safety and noise and asked us to let them know if there were parties in the parking lot so they could be addressed. They’re concerned about your safety and comfort. There are construction workers staying there; but they ARE working!! The check-in people were very friendly and informative, and they check the room upon checkout. There are gas stations and restaurants in the vicinity, but not really walking distance. The only thing I did not like was the beds having bedspreads and blankets. The sheets were clean. Blanket and bedspread didn’t appear to be dirty but I just can’t believe they get washed after each guest. We would stay again. We travel alot and stay at all inclusives, Sandals, Viking river cruises, so we are used to luxury but just need clean, comfortable and safe. Price-wise, just check around. We paid $123. Room 136.

We booked this place as a one-night stop on our way Up North mostly because we planned our vacation less than two months in advance and nothing else was available. It was affordable at around $115 for the night and the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is very basic accommodations that need some updating and some of the "updating" undone. But it was quiet and they provided a basic breakfast of coffee, fruit, cereal and store-bought donuts. And the people at the front desk were cordial.

My wife and I checked in at about 4:45pm in hopes of just having a place to shower and crash till our flight the next day. However, upon entering the office of the establishment we had a slight uneasy feeling develop in our gut. We noticed that the office was worn down and lacked a proper method to make the checking in process easy and simple. The manager that got us set with a room and checked in was extremely nice, and she ensured that we had everything we needed. Upon entering our room after climbing a flight of stairs with heavy luggage, our hearts sunk as we were stuck with a room that had an odor which was indescribable but unpleasant. My wife and I just shrugged off the smell but we became very disheartened when we examined the restroom. The bathroom tub had a thin layer of a white-plastic-like adhesive that covered the floor of it, which came off extremely easy making the tub very slippery. The thin layer would also peel off with every step I took which only made showering even more difficult. The white material would stick to the sides of our feet and ankles and was a struggle to remove. Immediately after the shower, my wife and I made the decision to request a refund as we had only used the room for about an hour. Madly irritated by the odor, and even more upset about the white-bathtub-material clinging onto our feet, we packed our luggage and proceeded to the office. In the office I stated my issues with the rook we were given and declined to be moved to another room. I then formally requested a refund but the hotel manager stated that the room must be examined prior to any arrangements. Upon receiving the condition of the room (used towels, a used bathroom, and a slightly wet bed from being sat on after a shower) the hotel manager claimed that she was unable to grant my wife and I a full refund. I was desperate and asked if we could work out a 50% refund. The hotel manager agreed to my terms and apologized for the inconvenience. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating but the hotel rooms were not worth their price. I paid ~$133 for a room and had to endure the terrible quality of it. The room was extremely cheap, especially because my wife and I were able to just walk in without a reservation. I wish I could say something more positive about the establishment but I honestly had a terrible time there. Economy Inn Holland is a low-end hotel for: travelers that are down on their luck, someone who just needs a place to crash until their morning flight, or for someone who is desperate for shelter. In all honesty, you’re better off sleeping in your car in a Walmart parking lot.

This place seems to go by different names. On my visa bill it appears as Econolodge of Holland. Whatever name it goes by, it's an AWFUL place to stay. Do not stay here. It's dirty and smelly. My sister and I should have gone on and tried to find another place, but we were pretty tired. What passed for breakfast was pretty sad and we wouldn't have felt safe eating there anyway.

DO NOT STAY HERE! It was awful. My sister and I were pretty tired and couldn't find much else but we should have just stayed in our car or anywhere else. It was smelly and dirty and what passed for breakfast wasn't worth trying. Wouldn't have felt safe eating anything here.
