Home2 Suites by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport

We stayed at this property strictly for the park 'n fly that was advertised. The wording led us to believe that it was a free service to park your vehicle at the hotel and that the shuttle was free. Which was NOT the case. Yes the shuttle to and from the airport was free, but you had to pay for each day that you were leaving your vehicle at the property. Upon our return, we called when we got to baggage claim (as instructed when we were originally dropped off at the airport) and were then told by the property that we would have to figure out a different ride back because the company that they use to do the shuttling to and from the airport, wasn't available at that time So we were left at the airport WITHOUT the 'free' return shuttle back,with 4 adults, one toddler and 1 three month old, without a car seat that we had arranged prior,

During my last stay, one of the staff members broke into my room. She entered without knocking or calling beforehand. As a solo female traveler, this caused psychological distress that lasted a few days. I was told I would be contacted by the hotel manager as part of the investigation. I was not contacted. I am very disappointed with how this situation has been handled. The compensation offered in exchange for my distress doesn’t even cover the cost of that nights stay.

We stayed at Home2Suites for work as it was the most centrally located hotel for our project. The check-in process was fast and the front desk person was very friendly. The room is a standard Home2Suites room, as it has a large counter area with a basic bed setup. Not my favorite bed in the world, but it will do for work. The carpet was clean of any stains, and the furniture showed no signs of wear. The bathroom was clean and had a full stand-up shower. I didn't see any signs of mold, and the floor of the shower was clean as well. We didn't use any of the amenities, such as food or the fitness center, but they looked fine.

Very clean, walk in shower was great, loved the room set up with a little kitchen, staff is very friendly and accommodating, we flew in to Grand Rapids and they made sure we had transportation to and from the airport, I would definitely stay there again.
