Notes on my stay (City View Room w/ 1 King Bed): -Room and bathroom were very clean; bed and pillows very comfortable -Lobby/bar area is small, but cute. A DJ was spinning on both nights of my stay. Did not love that guests also have to pay a cover (albeit, only $5) -I'm not sure what the room cleaning protocol is, as I did not need any -I had a TERRIBLE night's sleep due to the loud drag racing that I could hear very clearly from my room (I was several floors up). Hotel needs to lobby for some drag racing control/monitoring or something. A true nuisance. -Hotel is pricey in my opinion, but I noticed that it's on the lower price end for other comparable hotels in the area (I guess I don't understand why hotels cost so much in Grand Rapids :)

Bar/restaurant not open on Sundays, but not noted in the Marriott app. Made for some inconvenience. Staff was friendly and helpful but confused over business direct-bill reservation when I had a question. Overall, would look for another option.

This hotel is an absolute disgrace. My husband tried to book a reservation but never received any confirmation—no number, no email, nothing. Unsure if the booking went through, he reserved a room at another hotel instead. A few days later, we were shocked to find that the AC Hotel charged his card without any communication or confirmation. When we called to address the issue, we were treated with outright rudeness. Staff were dismissive and even hung up on us just for asking to speak with a manager. After several attempts to resolve this over email, we were told they "don’t send emails to anyone," which is complete and utter BS. This is one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had. This hotel has no respect for its guests and clearly doesn’t care about doing the right thing. Avoid this place at all costs—they don’t deserve your business.

Although we were upgraded to a deluxe king upon check in and the lobby and front desk were very friendly, the hotel room experience was a total miss. The toilet seat was falling off and the toilet flushed slowly and gurgled. The shower had no water pressure, which would have at least saved water if it hadn’t leaked constantly when it was turned off. The room has an ironing board, but a laundry bag was not provided. Housekeeping was supposed to be provided every other day. It was not. We stayed 3 nights with no replacement towels or coffee service. And by the way, to use the coffee maker, you need to move it to where there is an accessible plug. As to the housekeeping, they had plenty of time to do it because they were in our room with 3 people “fixing” the toilet (the seat is still loose) and the shower. Of note: we asked to be moved to another room and they refused and said they would fix the issues since we told them what they are. The person at the desk (who was very kind, but chose not to move us), said a manager would contact us upon their return. We heard crickets from them. Usually I have a great experience with Marriott (as indicated by my status and spending). This, however, was the worst.

I went to the lobby for some coffee it will be $3.18, sir. Wait you pay $700 for 2 nights without parking and coffee in the lobby?? The first hotel I have been in that did not offer coffee in the lobby. I would recommend staying somewhere else. Breakfast was $10 no free coffee for this price???
