The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport

Fantastic stay! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant on-site was a great surprise — much better than your typical airport hotel dining. We booked a runway view room, and while you don’t get a close-up of planes taking off or landing, you do get a nice overall view of the airport, which adds to the experience. The real highlight is the unbeatable convenience: you walk right out of your room and into the TSA security line. No shuttles, no buses — just a seamless transition from hotel to terminal. If you’re flying in or out of DTW, it doesn’t get better than this.

Like most guests I stayed at The Westin because I landed at Detroit late at night and was flying out again the next day. I've stayed here dozens of times over the years. The Westin continues to be an excellent hotel. Bonvoy elite recognition is excellent. Rooms are spotless, well-maintained, and extremely comfortable. The TV is newer, huge and has a good selection of channels. It also has smart TV capabilities. Room service is offered, starting at 6:30 am for breakfast. Overall, yhe standard is very high, though some cutbacks have occured. No newspapers are offered anymore. In the bathroom, first they switched to dispensers instead of individual toiletries. Now, the dispensers are being refilled when they're empty even though they're supposed to be thrown away. Besides being a sanitary issue, it's also an issue because the wrong product can be put into the dispenser. Also, a guest can tamper with the dispenser. All things considered, I will return. The Westin is well worth the premium over the cheaper off-airport hotels.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and very convenient. When we have a early flight it's so nice to stay at the Westin. The rooms are quiet & clean. The restaurant is a huge bonus with very tasty offerings The staff are always very pleasant and welcoming

Easy access, made flying out early a snap! Will be using the Westin for all of our future early departures! The restaurant had delish burgers and fries and the front desk ladies were so friendly and accommodating. The only downfall was that we couldn’t check our luggage the night before and the hotel doesn’t offer a service to check bags combined with their security gates, so we had to go down super early anyways. But still, the Westin is AMAZING!

Great hotel with excellent customer service everytime I have stayed there. The restaurant has a great variety for breakfast and offers a beautiful view of the decorations and art. I've stayed here several times and this will continue to be my go to for early morning flights. They even have a TSA line from the hotel straight to the terminal.
