Charlevoix Inn & Suites SureStay Collection by Best Western

The lady working the front desk at night was amazing, best part of our stay! Believe her name is Megan. She is the ONLY good thing I can say about this hotel. The worst part- housekeeping. I have NO idea who you have running your housekeeping department but a suggestion- FIND SOMEONE ELSE! The rooms, lobby, pool area was horrible. Especially our room. How can you allow someone to check into a room that is just dirty??? We talked with other guests, and they agreed! Their rooms were also not up to par and were disgusted. Those are the kind of "leaders" you have I feel sorry for you. Should thank god you at least have Megan. SHE is the ONLY reason we would return, she made our stay a good one despite the dirtiness.

I was charged for a reservation that was not authorized. Even booking.com agreed and they refunded their fee but this hotel refuses to issue a refund. And Best Western corporate office has given no assistance. Stay away from this place and choose lodging not associated with Best Western.

Mold, rotten floors, filthy walls, broken and nasty furniture! And no one Will accommodate or help you or even try to make it right for you!! Not even at corporate or high up manager level thus why I am notifying anyone in the future as they are not!!!

Golf , foliage northern Mi 3 day fling. Crown TC, Sundance, and Antrim Dells and stayed at Baywatch TCbay w 2 kings right on bay for $129 10/21/24 which was excellent but this “Best Western” was ok but older and queen beds low with highway 31 noisy on street view side for $97 10/22/24. Stayed at AmericInn a few years back which was better. Hot tub oldy but goody 3.5 ‘ deep, 5’ deep pool small. Lots of mold(slippery) Average continental bfast w waffle. Not a bad place but wouldn’t stay again.

My parents booked a room in January for a stay in August for a family event (several family members stayed at this site). They were told two night minimum, even though they only needed one night. They booked a room with two beds due to their special needs. Throughout the next months, my mother called several times to verify the room type. When they checked in, they were given a room with one king bed. After much discussion, we were told they had overbooked and moved room assignments around the day before and there were no rooms left with two beds. The only option was a king room with a cot. My 86 year old mother had to sleep on a cot in a very crowded room and was given a pittance off the room rate for her discomfort and deception that she would be given the room type she had booked 8 months prior. To add to this poor rating, I have contacted the sales manager by phone on behalf of my parents. At first, I left several phone messages which were never responded to or acknowledged. Then I left a text message where she requested my mother's name. It's been two months and she has not responded to any of my follow up texts. She did send me an email when their poor survey results from me came thru asking if there was anything to be done and when I texted her back, no reply. It is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in a hotel. I do not recommend The Charlevoix Inn and Suites and I pray you don't need to contact the sales manager about a problem!! I am shocked that Best Western would allow this level of poor customer service.
