Hampton Inn Detroit Auburn Hills South

My granddaughter and I were attending an event at the nearby Canterbury Castle when we stayed here. We swam in the pool when we first arrived and we swam before we left. The pool was nice and clean and plenty of pool towels. The hotel was in a good location, right off of the expressway and very easy to access. The breakfast was very nice and all the staff in the whole hotel spoke when you walked by them in a polite manner. This is my third time I have stayed here in the last two years and I will stay again. The only reason I did not give it. A five star is because I enjoy having a very hot cup of coffee when I get up in the morning. Coffee did not seem hot on any of my stays. And yes, I do know there is an And yes, I do know there is a coffee maker in the room, but I just like the coffee in the lobby better. Everything was stocked very nicely on the coffee station though. Hotel was very clean all throughout. Other than that, this is a wonderful place to stay.

The bed was like sleeping on a board, the breakfast had chicken sausage and already made omelets. Not to mention the dark roast coffee black tasted like watered down coffee. What a horrible nights stay. I would have preferred to sleep in my truck all night. Now my hips back and neck hurt. Never again!!

This Hilton property is extremely professionally well managed. The General Manager: Saman Mansoor is always engaging guests and attentive to any/all needs immediately. Emilly at front desk was always ready to greet guests with a warm smile no matter how busy she was at the time. Special shout out to Luis for helping me with my computer issues, especially when I could see he had a million things to handle and Saman who offered me the business room for a zoom call at a moments notice. This hotel is very special and I stongly recommend they all receive a lucrative raise as this can be a tough industry dealing with various personalities and all of them showed unwavering kindness and professionalism. I stay at only Hilton properties by choice when I travel (business and pleasure) and this is by far my favorite Hilton property. I am grateful for this entire staff!! Thank you!

Good surrounding area, clean room and very quiet. I didn’t eat breakfast so nothing to say about that but it was a nice stay. The surrounding area was good with food options around. It was also nice that they don’t charge for parking and noon checkout was a nice touch.

I would recommend this location again and again! The hotel is quiet and the rooms were clean and well furnished. Breakfast tasted good, contained healthy choices, and a variety of selections. Now to the hospitality, our stay was due to bereavement, but I tell you this, Mr. K.D. ensured we had a smile every interaction! He provided top tier customer service - even as we checked in at 2am after a long day of travel! Thank you to the entire staff!
