We (four of us family members) checked into Staybridge Suites Ann Arbor on 4/9/2025. For first two days 4/9 and 4/10 the experience was excellent. The front desk staff on both of these days were awesome! Especially the front desk person on the evening of 4/9 - he was really really polite when we called for an extra towel since only three towels were placed in a room that accommodates 4 guests. Today on 4/11 late evening I called front desk for extra towel because again they had only placed three towels - even after knowing that there are 4 guests here. The front desk person on this third day responded, "If you want extra towels, then you have to come downstairs and get it." This is not right customer service. We are guests here who are paying the price for our stay, so at least treat people in a decent way instead of being rude and bossy. This sends a wrong message that one day the service is excellent and next day the service is poor. We truly appreciate the service provided by front desk person in the evening of 4/9. But We are not happy with the service provided by front desk person on 4/11.

We decided to enjoy a getaway styled weekend and chose the Staybridge. It was an easy check-in. Our room was clean and roomy. It was nice to have a couch and multiple rolling foot pillows. The bathroom was a bit different. The toilet and tub/ shower were behind a door. The bathroom sink was on the other side of the door. The bed was cozy. Good stay.

Our stay was overall fine, Chris at check in was phenomenal, 10/10. We were here for a family emergency as one of our family members were having emergency surgery at U of M. We came down the evening of 4/4 and check in was easy, our room was clean, and Chris made sure to go check personally before handing us our room keys. We had an idea that surgery was a possibility and we wanted to be close. The morning of 4/5 our family member was due for surgery and my partner and I left for the hospital leaving my mom and 9 month old at the hotel (both were on the reservation). I called and extended our stay for one more night and the fella on the phone told me to have our keys updated before checkout (11 am) and so while my mom and baby were at breakfast (7 am) she went to the front desk to have the key updated. Apparently they needed to charge me another $50 deposit on the same room we were staying in, and therefore my payment didn't initially go through because I only moved enough around for what the guy on the phone said. Anyways, the woman at the front desk told my mom that the payment didn't go through and wouldn't give her back the room key. Mind you, the payment that didn't go through was for the next night (4/5 to check out 4/6), the room WAS paid for until 11 am on 4/5 therefore the key should have never been kept and my mom and infant should have been able to go back to the room. No. Front desk woman told me at checkout that "it was only 2 minutes" meanwhile it was long enough for my mom to panic enough to call me at the hospital, dealing with an emergency, scared that we didn't have a room or anything for my son. I told her check out was at 11, the room was paid for until then and to go get the key, and she did. It must have been 10-15 minutes. As she was getting the key, I called front desk and reserved the room for the night and solved the "non payment" issue. New keys were hand delivered to our room to my mom. I normally wouldn't raise a fuss over this but my child's belongings were all in that room, we couldn't have left with him if we wanted to because his carseat was upstairs. I mentioned this at checkout and the woman just played defensive and I wasn't about to stand there and argue with a grown woman when I simply asked for the managers email and what her name was (can't remember it because she just started in about how she did nothing wrong). I tried explaining why it was such an issue before ultimately leaving. She then tried to bring one of our family members who had a separate reservation into the situation as he was checking out. I did email the GM stating I wasn't trying to cause a scene or get the woman in trouble but to please have a conversation about double checking bookings before withholding a key, especially from someone with an infant on their hip. The same night, my mom and son were in the pool and another child had pooped in the hot tub so it made us a little wary of enjoying it during our stay. Our room was very clean and spacious and aside from the mishap Friday morning, we had an okay quick stay. Do be wary of your deposit. Still waiting on mine considering I was double charged for the same room and we left our room picked up and tidy.

Clean hotel with helpful and friendly staff. I travel a lot and I like to stay at Staybridges for the kitchens, so I can cook for myself instead of earing out constantly. Staybridges have all the cookware, silverware and dishes. Dishwasher and full size fridge. The staff was always smiling and the breakfast lady was so nice and bubbly. I will be back!

The hotel is decent, but I usually have a better experience with Staybridge as a platinum member of the IHG chains. I had to be moved 3 different times to get an acceptable room. The first one had a bad smell, and the second one's air conditioner was broken so that it wouldn't shut off and was freezing. The third room was fine, but they had offered me reward points for the inconvenience and they never showed up on my account so that was disappointing. The breakfast was cold every morning we were there as well. I will book elsewhere if I am back in Ann Arbor again.
