Red Roof Inn PLUS Ann Arbor U of Michigan North

This is a good motel. I stayed here for business in Ann Arbor and the room is clean and bath and bed was well accommodating. Very close within two miles of major shopping, gas stations, restaurants and highway. The motel is well lit at night. Room price was very economical as well.

I checked in and then entered the room, which was so smelly (urine), the floor was dirty, there were bugs everywhere and spiders in all corners, the pillows were disgusting (dirty with stains), the bottom of the entrance door was broken, the coffee maker was dirty: so I asked to cancel my staying there explaining the reasons, but the front desk employee refused to cancel. Please, be careful, it is an unsafe and unhealthy place to stay. Their website with nice pictures are a total lie.

This hotel seemed to also be used by people on a long term basis. When checking in the young man emphasized that there was no smoking in any of the rooms. The man in the room right next to ours appeared to be almost a chain smoker, standing outside smoking and leaving many butts on the floor. An employee came by and cleaned up the butts as we arrived but there were an equal amount outside in the morning. The room was clean but there was no coffee or coffee pot in the room. They did have coffee in the office which we availed ourselves of. The sink was new and modern.

Awful! The room was disgusting. I don’t write reviews and am generally skeptical about what people write but seriously don’t stay here. At first I was incredibly angry with the rude service from the General Manager Robert Facione then it occurred to me… he’s a general manager of the most disgusting Red Roof Inn I’ve ever seen. I was charged even though I didn’t stay, we immediately left. Luckily I took pictures and documented everything and submitted it to my credit card company. The front desk assistant did her best, Pat, but the Robert guy was so awful even to her. Do yourself a huge favor and stay anywhere else.
