Baymont by Wyndham Kalamazoo West

Our stay at Baymont on August 18, 2024, was an incredibly disappointing experience. Within just an hour of checking in, we discovered bed bugs, which was both disgusting and deeply unsettling. As a result, we immediately left the hotel, as staying under such conditions was simply not an option. The only positive aspect of our visit was the balcony, where we took a photo of our bikes. However, given the serious cleanliness issue we encountered, we would never recommend staying here.

Room was dirty, toilet seat was extremely loose and couldn't be tightened, bathroom was dirty, electrical outlets by the sink were inoperable, blow dryer didn't work. Staff was not supportive of our concerns. Breakfast was minimal and had a sign, "please limit your bacon or sausage to two a piece (stupid)

Staff was awesome room was very clean great breakfast... very. .................................................... nice hot water and they made me feel lime I was at home it's very quiet and ......................................

There are so many concerns with this property, I'm unsure where to even start. I understand that the 3 year renovation is taking time, however this is horrendous. We are on the 4th floor. The elevator is broken, and the stairs in the middle of the building are blocked for work. The towels in our room were used. Still with dirt marks on 3 of the 3 body towels. We had to dry off using the floor mat and a hand towel. 1st room, TV not set up. After asking maintenance to leave after 10 minutes of trying to reprogram the remotes, we noticed that it was not reaching the directv box. After moving the TV stand and aiming at the directv box, we could change channels. Began using the jacuzzi tub. After 3 minutes it tripped the gfci in the sink area. Reset, 2 minutes later, tripped. This went on a few times before requesting another room. Next room, multiple long and short hair in the shower, dirty towels again, but at least the small TV worked. Jacuzzi time. The reason for the trip, relaxation. 3 minutes and gfci trips. Reset with fingers crossed - 3 minutes, trips again. Absolutely a failure by the property to maintain their equipment in an operable manner. There will be no returning to this dive.

Friendliest front desk staff ever. Unfortunately the hotel chose to book my card twice for one room and then refused to resolve the situation. If you're going to spend twice as much money on the reservation due to fraud, you might as well stay at a better hotel!
