Hampton Inn Brighton

We were in town for a softball tournament with our team staying together at Hampton Inn. The hotel knew we had late games Friday evening at 10:50 pm and 12:10 am so it was late when we returned. The problem was about 9:45 am there was one knock on my door while I was in the restroom and the cleaner walked right in on me in the bathroom….she didn’t exit after this, she proceeded to grab our trash, wait for me to come out then grabbed the bathroom trash and asked if we needed towels. Checkout is not until 11 am and we were staying a second night so we had no need for room service. I get that we didn’t put the sign out to DND but they shouldn’t barge into any rooms until after 11 am when checkout time is unless they know for a fact someone checked out early. Not impressed. I made it just in time for breakfast and was able to grab a couple things but most was picked over by 9:50 since they close up at 10 am. Sausages were gone so I had scrambled eggs and potatoes with a hard boiled egg. (Gluten free). They have a waffle maker, oatmeal, boxed cereal and a little bit of fruit. We ended up leaving by 11 am due to a sports injury forfeiting our second night which was a bummer but uncontrollable.

Stayed at Hampton Inn in Brighton, MI on 9/20 and 9/21 with my family for a Michigan football game. It is 19.0 miles to Ann Arbor, about 40 minutes on game day. This property is much more affordable than local Ann Arbor hotels. Great access to the major highways. Front desk friendly and efficient. Free and well lit parking. Breakfast included everyday. Rooms were well maintained, clean, and had daily housekeeping service. There are numerous restaurants and stores minutes away. I plan on staying here in the future. Hope this review is helpful. Very nice and spacious room. Plenty of space in the room. Easy for one person to watch TV while the other does work at the desk. HUGE bathroom/shower combination. Excellent breakfast with many great food choices. Large, well lit parking area. Does not have an EV charger, but they allowed us to plug in our PHEV to an external 120-volt outlet instead.

We stayed at this Northville location and loved it! We had room 207 (suite) for a whole week. No problems, except for some minor issues at the pool, but that was dealt with. I would 100% recommend this location. I do wish there was a hot tub in the pool room, and the pool (and room) a bit warmer. Water was very cold for a heated indoor pool. Staff was very friendly. :)

Had trouble at a different hotel and came here. Wasn't sure if I could get a room so last minute. Melissa at the front desk was beyond helpful. She totally saved the day! Thanks for an excellent experience!
