Liberty Hill Inn

Authors retreat! I love the Liberty Hill Inn. And when I knew I was going to found the Cape Cod Book Festival I knew that this was the ONLY Place to house intellects, award winners, and celebrity authors who could mingle perfectly with the delightfully, cultured innkeepers. John and Kris have a way to tend to the guests' every need in their immaculate inn, as well as sit down and join us in conversation. And those muffins! And cookies. We all took a Ziploc home! What a treasure this Inn is. The room was beautifully furnished, very clean, quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast each morning was amazing, the afternoon cookies were delicious, the common areas are very comfortable, and the owners John and Kris are delightful. We cannot recommend this Inn enough and will definitely stay there again the next time we are on the Cape.

We recently spent a few days at the Liberty Hill Inn and it was simply outstanding. The pictures don't do this property justice! The grounds are pristinely manicured and the accommodations are high-end and luxurious. I really appreciated the boutique hotel touches like down pillows, cool and crisp high-quality sheets and bedding, lush towels, and most of all, a quality mattress. Our room had a king bed with a fireplace, spa bath ensuite, back entrance and windows that would open to let in a cool breeze. John and Kris are a class act and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed The breakfasts were not just delicious, but beautiful. Three courses at breakfast and homemade cookies each afternoon in our room was a nice surprise. Kris is quite a gourmet cook & John has a fun, dry sense of humor. They are both so nice and full of grace. It was really fun to visit with them. John and Kris chatted with us each morning at breakfast and made recommendations for activities, restaurants and shopping. Everything they recommended was great. Everyone knows how disappointing it is to go to vacation and be disappointed in the experience and/or quality of the hotel, restaurant or activities. My husband and I travel a lot and we decided that this was the first trip in a very, very long time that did not disappoint in ANY way...(well, except for traffic in Boston!) After the crazy drive from Logan Airport, we were so blessed to have landed at such a great place to spend our time. It felt like family. I can't recommend the Liberty Hill Inn enough. We chose The Liberty Inn because of the reviews and found it all to be true & more. As you enter the Inn you get the feeling of being in a much loved home that John & Kris are willing to share with you for awhile. The rooms are spacious & charming. You are greeted with a drink, fresh fruit, homemade cookies & a comfortable bed The bathroom is immaculate & high end. In the morning, Kris has prepared a multilayered breakfast that is a feast for your eyes & your stomach. John walks in & out of the kitchen serving us all with great food, hot coffee & fun stories. We've been coming here for seven years. John and Kris always make each visit most enjoyable. The accommodations are without equal. And, the breakfasts are superb.
