Hampton Inn West Springfield

This hotel changed me$715.60 for a 2 night stay. I was traveling to a family funeral about 40 minutes away. The room was listed as $115 a night. I called them today about this issue. The hotel was not clean and our room was dingy. I have been a loyal Hilton member for at least 25 years. The desk clerk spoke to her manager and they said it was too long ago to change anything. Nothing was given in writing to say that they more than doubled their prices for weekends. I also call Hilton and they were not able to rectify this situation.For this price we could have stayed many other closer and nicer places. It is an understatement to say I am disappointed and am questioning my Hilton loyalty.

Very dirty and in desperate need of renovation. The furniture is old and battered, the carpet filthy, the bathroom really filthy. There are stains on the walls and floors, chipping paint and wallpaper, The pillows smelled of dirty hair. And the room overall is small and dark. Also, all of the ice machines are out of order. We thought Hampton Inn had a higher standard???? After this experience, we will never stay at a Hampton Inn again.

Hampton Inns are usually one of the better hotels we stay at but we were disappointed with our stay here after attending the Big E. Just trying to get to the hotel was difficult. We couldn't find where you have to turn to get to the entrance and had to make a u-turn a half mile away. We finally got there and parked on the side facing the road. This was after 11 pm and there was a group of people loitering in the parking lot near our car which made me nervous what they were doing there. We had already checked in on the app so we went straight to our room. The room was okay, but in my opinion not up to Hampton's standards. In the morning we discovered the outlet for the hair dryer was broken and the vent in the bathroom was filthy. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel last minute and got a nice, clean room in a quiet, well managed hotel. We don't spend much time in this area but we were visiting family and many of the local hotels/motels were cheap but a little suspect. Trust the Hilton brand.

I don't know how this hotel is allowed to have the Hampton by Hilton brand. Room was small, smelled, the bathtub was dirty and the bathroom door wouldn't close. This hotel falls far below the standard of any Hampton hotel I have ever stayed in.
