Rockport Inn And Suites

The second time we've stayed here. Friendly staff, an older facility with rooms on the small side but comfortable. Bathroom, very small. Swam in the heated pool but the area needs some serious work with walls and ceilings not handling the high humidity very well. Breakfast? If your use to warm eggs, sausage, homes fries or other common items served in various chain motels, all they had for protein was yogurt, cold boiled eggs. cereal bars, bagels, muffins etc. We paid a premium price for our room and should've researched other options and bargains on-line. Lesson learned! Would we stay there again? Maybe in the warmer weather. Sidewalks were not cleared so we could go for a walk around the area. Not a fault of this Inn but worth noting.

Heating sounds like a plane taking off. Only people 5 ft and under can stand in the shower. Breakfast is a joke. Old bagels and muffins. Cold hard boiled eggs only option. Rotten bananas. Worst breakfast I have ever found. Night staff was friendly and helpfull. Morning staff rude and argumentative. Never again. Should have slept in car.

This motel consists of several buildings & doesn’t have elevators. We requested and received a room on the first floor as we have trouble with the stairs. The front desk clerk asked if a small step up into the room was ok but didn’t mention that there were several stairs to get to the building with the pool. one set of three doesn’t have a railing. We were very surprised that there weren’t any towels at the pool especially seeing you have to walk outside to get there. Someone else using the pool said you had to get them at the front desk but there was no sign at the pool or the front desk saying so. The continental breakfast is in the building with the front desk. You can drive there but not to the pool. This was the first continental breakfast I’ve seen that didn’t have cold cereal and milk. Very limited selection. The rooms weren’t bad. I found the beds hard but my sister liked them. The rooms were very clean.

Centrally located in town. Unlike other hotels/inns you’re assigned your own “unit” which is very nice. Decent size, simple flat-screen tv, comfy beds, microwave, small fridge and bathroom. No views out the windows of the rooms. This not a modern room—simple, no upgrades (granite, tile, etc.) and does the trick. The lobby is very nice. Free breakfast is very simple—hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea/water. Plenty of parking too. Overall the price is right. If you just want a comfy room without frills, etc. this place will do just fine.

The bathroom exhaust fan was filled with dust/debris, ironing board pad was burnt through & stained, iron needs replacing, hairdryer needs replacing (cracked), pillow cases were pilled, no USB plug-ins that I could find. Layout of hotel room is nice. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was ok.
