Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Marlborough

Spent a week on a family trip and was excellent. Catherine at check in was amazing, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was awesome and staff were amazing. My room was a suite with 2 rooms, 2 bathroom and living room and it was comfortable. This location is accessible and quiet. Housekeeping team were helpful and nice with my requests and cleaning. Only concern is that our sofa bed and red chairs in living room need to be changed as soon as possible. Besides that, everything was great. Smooth check out by Ali. He was nice but I trust he can do better.

Nice place but there is zero soundproofing in between floors. I was up until 1 AM listening to the people above me with kids make a ton of noise. It was an absolute nightmare and the front desk wouldn’t offer me a different room all they would do is offer some Marriott points

Very very dated hotel, furniture, carpet everything. The 1st room had varnish sticking to our luggage & clothing bcoz we initially didn't notice it. The leather on the dining chairs was frayed & peeling, sofa & carpet was dirty, bathroom had mold & bathtub seemed like would fall apart. We called for change of room & the 2nd was stinking from the previous occupants food but didn't have fresh varnish staining our things so we chose but still had bathroom mold & weird bathtub. The dishwashing scrub was not sealed & liquid was half used, so didn't use them but utensils needed a clean. Luckily I always carry my personal dishwash liquid & scrub. The pullout bed was very uncomfortable & clumped so that kids refused to sleep so 1adlt +2kids had to manage on the double bed & the other adlt somehow managed to toss thru the night on the pullout. It was a worst 2day Marriott experience & we are Platinum elite! Approach to hotel is not convenient either. Not the hotel's fault but on Google map looks like it's at intersection on 495 & 290 with a convenient ramp access to both but no! You have to take the exit then drive back for 2 miles towards the intersection again. All in all, The hotel is in desperate need of renovation! Don't stay till then!

Absolutely no respect for those who need to sleep. The rooms are poorly insulated against noise, and if you're unfortunate enough to have yours overlooking the basketball court and barbecue area, there's no way you're going to get any sleep before the festivities decide to go to bed. The hotel won't do a thing for you.

I booked this sad place thinking it was the highly ranked Residence Inn. Do not make the same mistake! We found dirty underwear in the cabinets, no bedding for the sofa bed, and a persistent smell of cigarette smoke that seemed to come in through the bathroom fan vent. Recent repairs have been very sloppily done. The person at the desk had to be motivated to help.Both my son and myself have had splitting headaches all day from the cigarette smoke. We are checking into another hotel.
