I travel often both abroad and nationally, I have seen my fair share of hotel types. This I must say is the worst I have ever stayed at, please don't stay here as the lack of amenities really deplete from the experience. I went in October 2024 and these were my chief complaints : 1. The AC did not work all the way through, it would work and then it wouldn't mid through the night. 2. The WIFI did not work at all times, sometimes it did sometimes it didn't. I had to tether to my phone. 3. There was a roach in the bathroom ... so that tells you all you need to know about hygiene in this place. 4. The gym equipment was not all working. 5. The pool was dirty. 6. THE ELEVATORS WERE NOT WORKING! and we were on the 3rd floor. 7. The overall stench of the place was genuinely grotesque. 8. The front desk receptionist in the evening was rude and unwelcoming and not the best of help. 9. The bathroom had the bare minimum so PLEASE bring your own things, the floor was sticky upon arrival. 10. The entrance archway is visibly broken, clearly there is no maintenance in this hotel. 11. The phone to dial to reception was broken ...

If you are on a business trip, please stay away from this facility. Incase you use third party like booking.com etc. to reserve the room, make sure the night clerk should not use your CC as a primary CC to charge the room charges during checking In. I communicated to GM and Asst. GM via email to let them know about my unpleasant stay, nevertheless yet to get any response! - 'short and sweet' the team working here doesn't care to sustain a good reputation of "Sonesta Select" and discriminating to treat their clients - BE AWARE and STAY AWAY!

First of all, I wasn't originally supposed to be staying at the Sonesta Select in Lowell. I was supposed to be at the Sonesta Simply Suites in Burlington. So I put "Sonesta Suites" into my Maps app on my iPhone, and it sent me to the wrong hotel! Apparently the "Staybridge Suites" in Burlington used to be a Sonesta Suites, but nobody has told this to Apple Maps! I highly doubt I'm the only one that has suffered this problem! So after we finally arrived at the Sonesta Suites in Burlington (as in, the correct one), we were told that due to a water issue, we were relocated to the Sonesta Select in Lowell. Someone was supposed to have called us to tell us this, but let's just say "If the phone don't ring, you'll know it's them." So whoever's job it was to alert us to this change quite obviously failed that task. Now after driving to our third hotel of the night, absolutely exhausted after a long day of flying from California, finally we were in the right place in Lowell, a good 15-20 minutes away from where we were supposed to be staying. Thankfully the hotel had received word that we were coming and the one checking us in reiterated to us several times that the credit card I swiped at check-in was only for incidentals since my reservation in Burlington was prepaid. They also gave us a coupon for free breakfast the next morning for our troubles, which was a nice touch but made for an awkward moment for the guest in line behind us who apparently didn't get such a coupon. The room was fine and the breakfast was good, and we got on our way, only to find out later that the room rate WAS actually charged to our credit card after we already paid for the one in Burlington that we couldn't use! Thankfully I was able to email somebody from Sonesta corporate (since, for some strange, unknown reason, there is no ability to call them) and they were able to get the charge reversed. Why isn't there a phone number I can call to get such situations resolved? So I hope someone from not just this hotel is reading this but also at the corporate level, as this night felt like a classic "left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing". Communication is very clearly not a strong point and it makes me seriously question whether I would want to stay at any other Sonesta property in any of my future travels.

We are here visiting from FL. We booked a hotel for both nights here before we actually got here. We had the worst first night in MA with the nastiest room. So we ate the cost of the second night and ended up HERE! Absolute heaven. Beautiful clean room. Friendly helpful staff. No bugs. No stains on the sheets. And did I mention awesome front desk staff? I did not get the gentleman’s name tonight but he was beyond pleasant with us! So thankful to have a great nights sleep tonight.

We got caught in the get a great deal on one of the three hotels (got the sonesta). We got here early and was told that the rooms were not ready until 4pm. The girl said we could not change rooms as we got a special rate from Priceline (the shame) I asked about using the pool as it was not open. I found out it has not been open since COVID. They must have trouble finding pool company LOL. We came back two hours later and was told our room was ready on the second floor but would need to take the stairs as the elevator is not working. We got to the room and find they have saved a smaller handicap room for us. (Only saw 25-30 cars in the lot.) The room is very clean but the girl at the front needs to work on her customer service skills. .
