***STAY AWAY*** I booked for a two night stay for two rooms for the Falmouth marathon weekend. I first booked for the Saturday and Sunday because I was planning on running the marathon. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to train as much as I would have needed to run the full marathon so I switched to the half and made a new reservation for the Friday and Saturday. I was aware I had made two different bookings so I called the hotel two weeks before the race to make sure I only had one reservation for two nights. The first time I called the owner was rude and asked that I call back. I did, I explained the situation and he confirmed that I was all set: one reservation, two nights, etc. I was kinda sketched out by his tone so I called back a few days later to be extra sure. Again, I was told that I was all set. You can see where I'm going with this. We arrive on the Friday, check in no problem. I get a call at 10PM from the guy, telling me I have to pay for both reservations (the Saturday-Monday one I had cancelled, as well as the Friday-Sunday one I had confirmed). I tried to stay calm and explain I had called multiple times to cancel the wrong reservation, he was not going to budge. He was yelling and cursing at me on the phone. This was all the night before my race, needless to say, I didn't get any sleep. He waited a few days and charged my for the second room. I filed a dispute with my credit card and hope I don't have to pay. The management is rude and kinda scary. Please consider staying somewhere else.

This is a super cute little Motel and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the room -- Not only was it clean and spacious, but it was also thoughtfully decorated, better than any Motel I have ever been in. Cute little touches like little decorations that you don't usually such a reasonably priced motel. It looks like they recently redid the whole bathroom and it's gorgeous! The office is cutely decorated too, and the gentleman on duty was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this Motel, which is right on Main Street in Falmouth, within walking distance of cute little shops and great restaurants.

Nice, clean, mom and pop type motel. Updated units. Within walking distance of restaurants and town. Great location for ferry parking. Nothing fancy but has all the basics and is very clean and updated which is what’s important to us. Refrigerator in unit but no microwave. Ice machine in main five.

Hard to find any availability so went with this motel. Pros: It has been renovated and room is nicely decorated and bath is also updated. Nice size fridge with freezer. Has A/C. Was pretty clean. Location near town so can walk to it. Cons: front desk man unfriendly, inhospitable. Room smelled like uirne so we wiped down bathroom and sprayed Lysol. Kept windows open and it got better. AC unit needs cleaning- It smells. Bed creaked with any movement. Needs to be oiled or screws tightened.

The Mariner is not part of a large chain and, as such, was charming complete with beachy decorations and a great location at a good price. It is within walking distance of downtown Falmouth with all the Cape Cod tourist shops you would expect. Also, it is very conveniently located near The Island Queen, the ferry taking you to Martha's Vineyard. It is about a 15 minute walk away and that saves you a $20 parking fee. It does not offer breakfast but does have everything else you would need.
