Moxy Boston Downtown

While the hotel was clean and well-maintained, the overall minimalistic approach felt more like a cost-saving measure than a stylish design choice. There was very limited space to put personal items in the room — no table, no dresser — which made the stay less comfortable than expected. If you travel light and prioritize location over convenience, it might work for you, but if you need any amount of space or storage, it could feel a bit cramped. When did it become ok to serve food in a cardboard box in a 4 star hotel?

The style and the location makes a wonderful and unique hotel. Also Alyssa at the front desk is the best, help me with every question i had, also print locations for me, really useful and lovely! and give me an upgrade definitely she make my stay even better

I usually book and the cheaper hotels when I come to town but this time I wanted to treat myself to something special and after reviewing all the hotels in the area for about 2 months the moxy kept grabbing my attention so I decided to spend the big bucks atleast for 1 night and wow what an amazing experience worth every penny money very well spent between the service from Sarah at the front desk and Carlos the manager I'm decided that from now on I will only book with moxy because this is an experience that I want to relive again and again

Alyssa is amazing. I wish I knew everyone’s name to high 5 them too. Very clean place lots of fun. Unfortunately the bartender was a total jerk. He was so bad that a couple went to the front desk to complain about how he was treating my friend. She did not want a plastic cup and he made fun of her to her face and to other guests. Lucky the food is separate from the Marriott Corp. I have never seen anything like that. But the Moxy employees made up for it.

Loved our stay at Moxy Downtown Boston. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always patient and helpful even when we were exhausted upon our late arrival. The Boho Chic decor was fun and interesting. We were walking distance to the commons with multiple dining locations in the area including no less than 4 Starbucks. The room was a very small but, the view and the shower were both incredible. The staff was very accommodating and gave us a room on a higher floor to mitigate outside noise as this is in the middle of the theater district. They provide earplugs in the room but, we didn't use them. There was also a white noise machine in the room. There are no amenities in the room such as coffee or a mini-fridge but there is free coffee available on the main floor. The incidentals costs are offset by food and drink coupons that have to be used in house but, at least that's something. The food was good and the service was great. There is a decent exercise room although I didn't get an opportunity to use it. We got plenty of exercise walking around and I did some running while there as well. The "Freedom Trail" begins in the commons so you are at the beginning in less than 5 minutes. It's also only a few blocks to the finish line for the Marathon. Overall, the Moxy made our four days in Boston fantastic. I would definitely recommend highly.
