Hyatt Place Baltimore BWI Airport

Overall our stay was fine but. Lobby looked nice but guest rooms are definitely showing wear & tear and need an update. But they are oversized which is great. Elevators were very dirty and old. Breakfast was pretty good with lots of options but oatmeal was way too watery. Staff was pleasant.

I am a regular at this hotel once a year, and over the years noted that it was deteriorating in appearance and in function. Specifically, when staying here last year, the rooms were old and tired and there were no outlets for electrical appliances on one side of the bed. However, being a creature of habit, I made my usual trip to Baltimore and stayed again at this hotel. I noted when we drove up that they had painted the outside. Furthermore, when we got into our room, it had been renovated and actually upgraded. Oversized flat screen, outlets on both sides of the bed, new carpeting, but same colors. It was a nice refresh. Breakfast was the same as always, No issues there. Staff is accomodating. Since the price of this hotel is within $5-10 of other mid-grade places, I have no issues with the small price difference. However, I can say that if one has read earlier reviews about this Hyatt Place, some of them are out of date. I guess I will be back next year.

As Hyatt branded hotel, I had some basic expectations. The room and bathroom were clean, breakfast options were good. Unfortunately, I was let down by these stuffs: 1. I went down to reception to get extra makeup remover and lotion, but they didn't have it. The receptionist searched into a smll basket and said, no we are out of those items. 2. The hanger (wooden) in room was not screwed in wall, it almost fall down. 3. There is only one trash can in whole room, nothing in bathroom. That too without plastic bag. I can't imagine putting some used hygiene product in the trash and sleeping in the bed just besides it. 4. Mosquitos in breakfast area. It landed in my juice :( 5. No way to boil water to make a tea.

Kids were extremely loud up till midnight and staff did nothing about it. Would never stay here again. I called to front desk to ask them to tell kids to be quiet and nothing happened. Then again at 8am they were noisy again. The parents are to blame.

Hotel was below what I expected of Hyatt but the are working on some updates and the room had a few dirty spots but the staff was helpful and shuttle was quick and offered us a ride to restaurant for supper also and very comfy bed and the breakfast was very good for a motel breakfast
