Homewood Suites by Hilton Hagerstown

Great one night stay in one bedroom suite. The room was immaculate. Bed was comfortable. We didn’t need any of the kitchen amenities, but it was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dish towels, etc. Full size fridge was nice. The cabinets themselves were a bit dated, but the fixtures seemed new. In general, the room was full of updates and you really had to look to see things like the cabinetry that indicated it was slightly older. The lamps had lots of charging plugs built in. Only downside (not enough to lower my rating) was that I did not like that the bathroom set up. The toilet and shower are enclosed, but the vanity/sink is outside and, essentially, in the bedroom. So you can’t use the sink without waking someone. Also, there’s nowhere to put your clean clothes for after the shower in the bathroom. And anyone staying in the living room would have to walk in the bedroom to use the bathroom. I much prefer the Jack and Jill set up of the newer embassy suites, for example. Or the older floor plan of embassy suites that has the bathroom outside the bedroom. I may choose a studio room next time if it has the bathroom, shower and sink all enclosed together. I have seen reviews of this hotel praising the breakfast. I agree! It was not crowded for us. Lots of comfortable seating and a very dutiful breakfast attendant. There was the waffle bar, scrambled eggs, sausage, pulled pork, potatoes, boiled eggs, overnight oats, parfaits, and the usual breads and oatmeal. Everything was super clean and fresh. The hotel lobby was clean and updated, too. I would stay here again

One of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had. Even the sofa bed was top notch! The studio suite had fridge, dishwasher, 2 burner stove and microwave. But the icing on the cake was the breakfast bar. We had stayed in a Marriott the night before and their breakfast was limited and what was offered was pitiful. The Homewood Suites’ breakfast was fine dining…kohlbasi, pulled chicken, lemon poppyseed scones, waffles…the World’s Fair of breakfast foods. The photos tell the story. Our new go to hotel when traveling from NC to PA👍

Amazing hotel!! We assumed the hotel was brand new because everything was pretty much pristine in both our suite and the public areas. The hotel is actually an extremely well-maintained 20+ years old. The staff was courteous and professional, with several going above and beyond for us - without being asked. Location is good, with many restaurant choices close by, and free Grub Hub delivery if you choose to stay in. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

This hotel is a fairly typical Homewood Suites property. The room was nice and clean; the staff were friendly. The standout feature was the hot breakfast, which included (good) scrambled eggs, pork sausage, carnitas, and a variety of carbs. I wasn't a fan of the TV blaring Fox News, but that is a small point. The hotel is close to a mall and a wide variety of food options — Outback Steakhouse, Chilis, Olive Garden, and many more. This was an unexpected stop on my journey, but pleasant.

After an initial delay with our room we were quite impressed with this Homewood suites. The staff was friendly, accomodating, apologetic about the delay and quick to address it. Breakfast was the typical included fare. It's location is within a wide choice of restaurants for lunch and/or dinner (try Sardis Pollo A La Brasa nearby) We're in this area a coupla times a year and this will be our go-to hotel.
