Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay

Had a fun weekend with family and grandkids. Arrived on a Friday and left on Sunday and never felt the need to leave the resort. Weather was cold and windy so we took advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub, the golf simulator, the restaurants, the arcade, mini golf and the sitting areas around the resort to play board games. A beautiful resort with clean and inviting rooms.

The hotel is super friendly for kids and families. No need to bring anything but only goggles and swimsuits. The swimming pool had soccer/football/volleyball balls and other sports equipment. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a small arcade, gym, space and golf course. Highly recommend hotel.

This place is underwhelming, for sure. Beautiful lobby but it seems tired all over. The service in the restaurant was incompetent and inattentive. Tons of mixed up drinks, drinks returned but not taken off bill, just bad. The Waters Edge was pretty bland in appearance but we did have a great female waiter. My shower didn't drain, another friend checked into a room with a ripped curtain, another to a room with a leaking refrigerator. It was kind of a mess. Pretty on the outside but not so great on the inside. As one said, "Their heyday was long past."

Beautiful location for a business meeting. Quiet and serene on the water with big ballrooms and conference space. Food is just ok. We had a chicken and rice lunch and it wasn't anything special. Honestly, you're really there for the views, pretty location, and open spaces. Gym room has everything you need on the road too.

If you want to have the cops called on you for sitting outside past 9, then stay here. We came back from a wedding and figured we'd all sit outside eat some over priced food, and have a few more drinks. A security guard poked his head outside and said "turn off your music" to which we did and one of the other guests said "what music" trying to make the situation funny. (Yeah he prob should've just said gotcha I know) The security guard then said "the cops are on their way" and that was that. In roll about 6 cops who literally told us "time for bed". I went to the front desk and tried to be very polite with the lady and said I'm sorry for the noise but I thought we were being pretty quiet our music wasn't very loud. She proceeded to get very agitated and rude towards me and had the attitude of a lifetime. When I asked to speak to her manager and she was very hesitant to give me her managers number. 0/10 would not recommend staying here especially for your wedding. The bartenders, and people who helped us to our car the next day were the only people who were nice here.
