Hampton Inn Freeport Brunswick

Everything was more than excellent!! From check-in to the spotless room to the nice breakfast. Almost perfect! Not sure why I've seen a few negative comments about this property. Can't say enough nice things about everyone working there----especially the friendly and informative front desk clerk. Looking forward to heading back to the Hampton in Freeport!!

Okay but not as good most Hamptons We had a one night stay here on our way further into Maine. I appreciated the Hilton Honors amenities such as the ability to pick our room, and the evening staff at the front desk was WONDERFUL, but the hotel overall wasn’t as good as a typical Hampton Inn. It was clean enough that I wasn’t worried about bugs, but there was mildew growing around one of the bottles of shampoo in the bathroom and there were other similar issues with cleanliness in our room. Again, not enough that I was worried about bugs, just below par for the brand. The breakfast was also not as good as the typical Hampton - there was only one waffle maker and when we asked about the whipped cream that Hamptons typically have on their breakfast bars we were told that they were not required to have it any more so they don’t. Nothing that was a deal breaker as far as staying there again, but little things that I didn’t love. We typically seek out Hampton Inns when traveling but I don’t know that I would go out of my way to stay at this one again.

Stayed here based on reviews. It was just alright. When I walked into the room, it smelled musty/moldy. I turned on the AC to try to correct this. The AC said the inside temperature was 68. That was the warmest 68 I've ever felt. Regardless, turning on the AC did help with the smell a bit. Property itself was a bit tired. You could tell this is an older property. Bathtub was tired, bathroom could use a makeover. Breakfast was ok. There were not as many choices as I am used to at a free breakfast property. The price was very high for what it is, but I attribute that to being prime leaf peeping season? Hopefully they don't charge this much all the time. If I am in the area again, I would most likely look for another property to stay at.

A welcome stop for weary travelers. The desk staff are friendly, hotel is clean , nice pool, bed very comfy and we loved having breakfast outside on patio. The large grocery store adjacent, made stocking up for the rest of our Maine trip easy.

Excellent desk staff, clean rooms, breakfast OK, just what we needed. We had a bad experience with a hotel nearer the Portland airport, so chose this one on the way back from Bar Harbor. It's only 20 mins from the airport and exceeded our expectations.
