Bucksport Inn

This small hotel had the cleanest room/bathroom I have ever experienced as a traveler! My husband and I stayed there on our recent trip to Acadia National Park, which is about a 45-50 minute drive. Our room was spacious, had a small table and 2 chairs, and an extra wingback chair. The bed was very comfortable, and the retro looking refrigerator worked well. After more than a week on the road, this was the first hotel that offered daily housekeeping! We got back from the park, our bed was made, and the room and bathroom looked spotless. My only complaint is that the bathroom (adorable looking vintage design) was small and had limited space to set toiletries. The young woman at the desk was very helpful and patient, offering directions and advice on the local area. If she tells you to try the Pizza Palace or the Anglers Restaurant, follow her advice. Note that most of the restaurants in this small town are closed on Sunday and Monday, so plan accordingly. If you have extra time, check out the Observation Tower over the Pennobscott River, and Fort Knox.

What a wonderful place! Large clean rooms with everything you need, including being able to park your car right outside of your door. Truly a home away from home especially with the grills, picnic tables, lawn games and firepit in the field outback. A very warm welcome from the staff member started off our visit. There is a Dunkin' Donuts right next door and a grocery store down the road. Note: Check-in by 9:00 pm is recommended.

This Inn was far more than I would have ever expected. Very clean and cozy, the bed was comfortable, the little refrigerator was just adorable. The staff was super nice. I would recommend this Inn to others for sure.... One nice thing for coffee drinkers is there is a Dunkin Donuts at the end of the driveway.

Good location on Rte 1. Helpful staff, extremely clean room, which is everything! Very well kept with gorgeous huge petunias all over. Fire pits out back. It has it all. I will stay there again when in the area. Centrally located is such a plus. Thank you.
