Hampton Inn Augusta

We stopped here for its convenience just off I-95 as we traveled across northern New England from Mount Mansfield in Vermont to Acadia National Park. Augusta is a perfect stop if you are arriving into Maine late on the way to Acadia as it is 2 hours from the park. The other reason we stayed here we got to see the Capitol of Maine the next morning which meant we had seen 5 of the 6 Capitols in New England. As for the hotel, it was a good Hampton Inn that provides a clean place to rest for the night and get up the next morning. The staff were also very nice.

After disappointing visits to Hilton properties in Boston and Baltimore, I’m delighted with the warm welcome and hospitality of this place. Bravo. Greeting us and acknowledging our Hilton Honors Diamond status and checking in by text to see how the room is, demonstrates a commitment to guests. Bravo, Kati!

This is very nice and clean hotel. The front desk staff were friendly. There was plenty of parking. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was OK. I used a points redemption for two nights. The rate otherwise would have been $325 a night which is too expensive.

Walls are super thin, bathtub is nice and big, pool was nice and empty. Only problem is that you can hear the person in the room next to you flush their toilet. The walls were like paper mache. Beds were great to sleep on, but due to the sound it was hard to sleep at night.
