EverGreen Inn & RV

Checked I Thursday afternoon. Had no TV or Internet, both of which they say is always available. Called the desk had the owner come to the room. He played with the wires, that's all. T V came on he left, in less than five minutes it quit working. Didn't have any TV, from that point on. The Internet was even worse. Constantly going out. Called the front desk again today. Owner said he would check connections again. But never saw him. The water was not fit to shower with, brown water only. So with having the room paid for Thursday and Friday night, we left after lunch. Not worth staying even tough paid for Friday. When I returned the pass cards to the desk and told the lady,why we were leaving, she took the seecards and said, the weather was the problem l. I said really? November 14-15 look at what the weather was in Winfield,La. Not a cloud in the sky, she said that the water is always brown. Don't believe that either. I did see other reviews, I'm not the only one that is very disappointed!

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean, beds comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. Water pressure was good in shower and water was hot. The room had a window unit which cooled the room adequately. The price was very affordable. The restaurant next door had great hours and the food was good with a good selection. The hotel is a little older but I believe remodeling is occurring to update. Great find.

Road trip to visit relatives brought us to this pleasant town in Louisiana and we had the good luck to stay here two nights. We were very comfortable. Our room with two beds was spacious and well arranged. Enjoyed the movies and WiFi. (Beds were squeaky when you turned over in the night….kind of distracting until you got used to it.)

My friend and I visit booked a room a couple of weekends ago, in Winfield, Louisiana. The room was clean and pleasant, the night clerk quickly checked us in and we were able to get a good night sleep. Two weeks later we could not find my friends driver's license, after searching high and low we called the motel and Amanda checked the office and informed us that someone did turn the license in. Of course, we were all the way in Texas, however Amanda took the extra steps by going that extra mile to assure that we would get the license as quickly as possible. She texted a picture of the license so that he would have it immediately, if needed. She then took time out of her personal time before going into work to overnight it to us using FedEx. Her act of kindness, saved us gas, mileage and time, she really cared about servicing her guest, even though we had already checked out and returned home. We will definitely return to Evergreen Inn when we visit the area again, which will be soon. Thanks Amanda for going that extra mile to satisfy another customer, we are totally satisfied. Stayed one night. Friendly desk staff. Pros--Clean rooms, nice tv, bright room to read in bed, reasonably comfortable mattress. Next door to good breakfast restaurant. Inexpensive. Cons--pillows pretty flat, worst imported Chinese soap bars ever.
