IF THERE WAS A ZERO STAR I WOULD USE IT — DO NOT BELIEVE ANY REVIEWS THAT ARE POSITIVE We booked online because reviews were decent - and yes it was non fundable i dont know where to start w the disappointments! The stale smell of the lobby and rooms told the history !

Nice and quiet hotel with a good breakfast. Room was clean and everything worked. Only drawback for me was not a big selection on the TV channels. They have a bar and restaurant on the property(didn’t use either). Would stay here again when working in the area.

Lobby is very old and inviting. Dark wood and marble floors and countertops. She must have been beautiful at one time. This is the last of the luster. Hotel recently started weekly rentals in addition the nightly guests. Sheets were snow white and bathroom towels were decent and it ends there. Many holes in the drapes. Holes in the sofa upholstery. Dirty and worn carpet. Missing or lose tiles in the sidewalk entry way (fall hazard). Breakfast was something I would not touch. Sausage (?) gravy was standing so long it had a film on it and it was watery. Coffee did not taste like coffee at all and I left it. Upon checking out, I mentioned that the hotel must have been a grand place at one time and the gentleman at the desk mentioned they are trying to sell it. All in all, not a good representative for the Choice Hotel chain.

This property sure missed a great opportunity. If it was clean it would be fabulous. It’s got large rooms, lobby area is nice & spacious & if it had maintenance done it would be top notch. Hall carpets are stained, room carpet stained, upholstered furniture stained, walls nasty, lampshades torn, no easy way to charge your devices & lobby & room has a strange smell. We haven’t had breakfast so can’t report on that. The parking is not close to the bldg so a little concerned about our vehicle. It is on hotel property & free parking but not close to the door. Hotel staff was nice at check in. Bathroom appears clean & there is an in room coffee pot & fridge. Place just needs some serious cleaning & I was hesitant to book because of the reviews. It was 150.00/nite so I would have expected it to be nicer & if I was staying more than 1 night I would cancel. Will not stay here again.
