Charmingly decorated hotel, for those of us who bypass the cookie cutter hotels. Great location with a great restaurant and rooftop bar. I just wish the front desk staff had been more welcoming. And make sure you don't mind a crowd and some partiers in your hotel.

I selected this hotel based upon reviews which usually don't let me down, but I must say I regretted my choice overall. Unless you are into sitting on the rooftop each evening and looking at the skyline, this hotel doesn't really offer much more. The lobby is so small as to be nonexistent (2 chairs in the entryway). The decor is tired. The rooms are a nice size, but nothing stands out in their renovation to make them feel special in any way. They are simply adequate. The hotel is located far enough from the French Quarter to be difficult, and yet not so deep into the Garden District that it provides peace and quiet. Sort of the worst of both worlds... Our check-in was bizarre--since we arrived too early and had to drop our bags, no one ever really gave us a welcome at all. When we returned to get our bags and room key, we were sent off without being told the room number, let alone other pertinent details such as which way to go or restaurant hours. The most disappointing was the price. This hotel wasn't inexpensive, and we missed out on the change to stay somewhere better (even in the Quarter) because this hotel had been well-reviewed. Bummer...

The Valet service was the fastest Iâve ever seen. Mohamed was courteous and professional! The rooms were decorated with cute, eclectic decor. We had a slight problem with the A/C , which was promptly corrected. The downstairs bar was fun, great drinks and music!

The general manager of this hotel is a genuinely awful person and needlessly rude. He accosted our wedding party and the bride to be over what boils down to taking a few photos in a side room and not getting an up charge. I wouldnât give this place my business

The maid service was very nice and extremely quick, we werenât gone very long and we had new towels and clean sheets. It was also very nice being able to experience Mardi Gras so close and set up chairs right outside of the hotel and be able to go to the restroom during the parade without having to walk far back.
