They failed to remove the trash from the prior hotel guest. I was traveling with a child. There could have been used condoms or tampons or anything in the trash. Makes you concerned for what else they didn't do. Please beware if you stay here and do a thorough walk through of your room. Honeslty, I would avoid staying here if at all possible.

This wasn’t an awful stay but definitely not great. Rooms need updating, internet and phone in room didn’t work and it was a hassle to get housekeeping even though we requested it daily. The breakfast was just fine and hotel staff were friendly.

We stayed here for my husband's radiation treatments. We have been Marriott members for many years and sadly this is the worst Marriott we have stayed. The whirlpool smelled like it had not been cleaned or disinfected. Our rooms heater did not work and the lavoratory stopped up so we had to move rooms. The rooms are outdated, carpet sagging and raveled, bed mattress was old and uncomfortable, the second room we moved to, we could not adjust the temperature so we smothered all night! Lighting in rooms are dim and sofa sagged and could not sit on it. Strongly do not recommend staying here!!

We stay in a lot of hotels due to my job. During the day the front desk attendants were very courteous. In the evening the attendant wasn’t. The gym is terrible! All 3 treadmills had issues with only 1 functional. No wipes to clean equipment, so everything is dirty and unsanitary. I informed the front desk twice about refilling the water container in the gym, but it wasn’t done. The attendant during the day gave me a bottled water and apologized. The attendant in the evening could care less and told me to buy a water from the refrigerator. This hotel seems to be just getting by! Myself or my company won’t be back! Customer Service goes a long way, but not easy to find these days.

I will try to be as unbiased as possible. It was only 5 days ago that I was in a newly constructed Residence Inn in a major city. Overall, Residence Inn Lafayette Airport was a really good stay. Pros: This place is extremely clean. The cleaning staff goes out of their way to make sure this place is clean from top to bottom. It has that fresh, clean aroma all throughout the property. The entire room was spotless upon arrival. Additionally, the front desk staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They are very quick to respond to messages sent via the chat function in the Bonvoy app. I regret not getting the name of the agent that checked us in, but she was extremely helpful in suggesting local cuisine. Feezo's is now my new favorite restaurant for chargrilled oysters. Cons: The rooms are really dated and shows plenty of wear and tear. More specifically, the mattress was in pretty bad shape. It had hills and valleys from head to toe and was NOT comfortable. I'm almost certain it's an original mattress from the opening of the property. Same goes for the couch. It was NOT comfortable at all. The pillows and cushions were in very bad shape. Mind you, these items were very clean, but old and worn out. The tv's are also dated. They are really small, probably Gen1 plasma, 24 inches. The channel lineup was impressive, however. I haven't seen that many channels in a hotel in a while. In conclusion, it was a good stay. I was more impressed with the cleanliness than the actual room. Breakfast was ok... food was good, but there was no cheese at all. I haven't decided if I will stay here again in the future as I am accustomed to a more updated hotel atmosphere.
