Motel 6 West Monroe LA

I’m not one to leave negative reviews, but nothing will change if not. I normally stay here when I come to town bc it’s the cheapest & I don’t need anything fancy just to sleep (as long as it’s clean). But this time, the staff (except for the girl who booked/checked me out) was rude & the room was GROSS. The fridge & toilet were visibly dirty, there was black crayon all over the wall, fist sized holes in the bathroom door, cigarette burns (even tho it’s a non-smoking room) on the edge of the bathtub, the towel draped on the side of the tub was damp with a hole in it & a hair on it, the microwave didn’t work, there was a hole in the wall plugged with toilet tissue, there was a clump of what looked like black mold on the ceiling (I did cough a few times ONLY in the room so who knows), the A/C vent looked like it caught on fire once, the bathroom door lock was hanging from the socket, there was hair in the tub drain, & there was almost no furniture in the room. I think it’s in the process of being sold, so hopefully it will improve with new ownership.

the manager is a big lady very rude ,her husband and her lives on the grounds..they feed stray cats near my room. outside of my room smell really bad.My room had mold on the celling..I told the manager And she would not give me another room.Nothing in the room worked..most of the house keepers live there with there families,,there are rude as well.Kids are running around asking for money.................DO NOT STAY HERE YOU HAVE BEEN WORN!!......

This is a property desperately seeking a bulldozer! The pros: easy on/off interstate. Numerous restaurants and fast food joints near the hotel. Shopping everywhere and a great hospital just up the road. The cons: an old, dated facility that has been and is poorly maintained. Obviously a leak from the upper room has stained the wall and ceiling. The floor felt wet as if it were sweating. It would appear that cleaning staff do the bare minimum, black spots were noted on the ceiling of the bathroom and had accumulated around the air conditioner. The best surprise was in the morning when we went for a shower and found that there was no hot water! My suggestion is to stay in the inn with the brightly hued roof just down the street! ( they are undergoing a major renovation)

Reserving was simple. Check in was easy and friendly. I got a great shower. The toilet flushed a bit slow. The AC was wonderful in July. I had a great wifi connection. The TV had Star Wars on. I slept 7.5 hours in a comfortable bed. And I walked to Cracker Barrel for breakfast.

The manger is absolutely amazing!! We live here locally. We were hit hard by hurricane Laura and have been Without electricity for 6days now. She was able to get us into a room! We’ve been here for 3 days. Without her we’d be stuck out in 110 degree heat!! Truly grateful for her! She went above and beyond for us!
