Residence Inn by Marriott New Orleans Metairie

we have been traveling cross country since August 9 and today is October 14. We have stayed in many Marriott and Hilton, but I really need to give a shout out to this hotel. From the minute, we checked in at the front desk and got our room it has been the best experience. It is close to getting on and off the 10 freeway, if you just stopping overnight. our room had everything we needed, including a full-size refrigerator freezer and full kitchen and fireplace. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was strong and hot. The room was really clean. Normally, I have not been eating at Free breakfast because the choice is actually terrible and it looks like the food has been laying around. Not here. The breakfast was awesome. The bacon was crispy. They had a choice of grits or oatmeal. they even had cold brew. Charlene was one of the servers and was very wonderful. I just can’t say enough good things about this place. If I’m ever in the area again, this is where I would stay because the price was reasonable and you’re not in the tourist zone, but it’s very quiet.

After a disappointing check in at other accommodations, we found the Residence Inn on a whim and were not disappointed. The 2 bedroom suite was large and spacious, beds were very comfortable. The couch could use an update, but the hotel has a great courtyard with chairs, a basketball court and small pool. Right off the freeway so the location is excellent. The hotel overall is in good shape and clean. Plenty of parking which is free. The hotel staff was very friendly and I would come back again.

I liked the security features on each building with a room key required to open all doors to enter into the building. There is plenty of parking which is free. I can't begin to rave enough about our experience this past week. The check in/check-out process, the food, the housekeeping, the amenities, the room cleanliness and the responsiveness and friendliness of the staff were all amazing! The location was very convenient to shopping as well as there are several restaurant options nearby. A couple of times we walked to Ron's Gumbo Shop nearby and highly recommend them as well.

Fantastic place to stay with your family when visiting New Orleans and don’t want to stay downtown. It’s around 15 minutes drive from all the key landmarks. Great rooms and they nice breakfast spread that had eggs, oatmeal, grits, sausages, yogurt, fresh fruits, bagels, muffins and bread. Staff is excellent and very friendly.
