La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Elizabethtown

First the front desk tried to increase my booking price from a king to a deluxe double queen on the 2nd floor and the elevator is broken. Went back and they changed me to a handicap accessible king on the first floor. The toilet shower room floor was dirty (things on the floor). The whole place needs to be thoroughly cleaned and updated. The pool is still not open and has algae growing in it. There’s more but won’t go into. Will not come back.

Poor service, unless you want to watch the front desk agent and her boyfriend snuggle on the lobby couch, dirty rooms, broken windows that were open when we arrived in our room and do not lock, no screens, very unsafe, clogged sinks and the rooms are so loud!

La Quinta in Elizabethtown, Kentucky was nice. The staff are all very pleasant and ready to assist with any of your needs. We were able to get great pricing through our USAA Insurance Perks! Major bonus! For firm mattress lovers, you’ll love the beds! There’s plenty of hot water to accommodate your entire party. However, it does take a little longer than usual to warm up. Breakfast was plentiful and pretty decent. Although they don’t have fresh fruit, they do offer scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, variety of cereals, bagels, toast, waffles, and more. They allow dogs up to 50 pounds for $25/night. Not bad pricing, but not as good as many other hotels that charge a flat rate of only $50 per stay. Overall, acceptable. Two downsides: Unpleasant Odor: The constant smell of marijuana in the halls, stairwell, and elevator. However, this seems to be consistent with several other recent hotel stays in several states. Is this really the new norm?!?!? Uncleanliness: The stairwell had half smoked cigarettes on the stairs our entire 3 night stay. The stairwell is a little dirty, as well. There was an unknown brown substance on the carpeted stairs and on the door to the stairwell. It wasn’t cleaned the entire time. Overall, LaQuinta is a decent place to stay with very fair pricing.

Outstanding customer support and support. Great breakfast and ample parking. Many stores and restaurants within walking distance. Pricing is very fair and reasonable The parking lot is well lighted to provide some security. All of the staff were professional and courteous.

Breakfast was great. Coffee maker in room did not work and coffee in the evening was lukewarm. Hard to get desk person cause they had too many other jobs to do especially on check out. The people I did come in contact with were very friendly and helpful.
