Comfort Inn & Suites Near Burke Mountain

We were checked in by Angela, the GM and she could not have been nicer. We really liked that check-in starts at 2.00pm, since we came to drop off our stuff and head into town. Our room was spacious, very clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet, the windows open (!) and we enjoyed the instant hot water (no waste of water at all). Our room overlooked the parking lot, which we like. Body lotion, shampoo and conditioner comes in large bottles on the wall. The inside of the bathroom door was in bad shape and needed painting or to be replaced and the door into our room was totally out of square and had a huge gap on the top. We couldn't get the TV to work, but didn't need it (maybe write out instructions on how to work it). Breakfast was the normal fare: bagels, two kinds of toast, waffles, yoghurt, sausage patties and 'scrambled eggs', which were terrible. Having some kind of potatoes would have been nice. We will certainly stay at this hotel again, when we are back in Morganton.

I called ahead to make sure I could get a room to accommodate my wheelchair. They were so kind and made it happen. Booked while on phone it was ready day of at 2 as promised. Clean. Breakfast was waffle stations, eggs, sausage plus the lighter options. No problems at all and the staff are great. Glad we were able to visit family and have a handicap friendly option.

pretty dumpy. Phone didn't work, outlets half dont work, alarm clock kept buzzing even when off until unplugged, wifi both week, and super sketchy security issues... stayed at Hampton Inn night before and it was much better. sdsdsddsdsdd

In March I had a family emergency for which I had to travel with no planning. I found out about the emergency Sunday, I was on a flight Monday morning. Having not planned ahead, I didn't have any hotel reservations, and I asked my husband who was back at home to help me find a place that would accept me in the middle of the night. He found that the Comfort Inn Morganton would do 24 hour check in. I arrived In Morganton around 3am, long past the time many other hotels in the area allow check in. A gentleman named Tu (I hope I spelled it right) quickly checked me in, for which I was very grateful. My room was immaculate, the hotel was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. I got a great few hours of sleep before I hit the road again the next morning. The location is convenient, and just down the street was a Denny's where I had breakfast.

This location is a small, fairly dated hotel; however, it is clean, and the staff are very polite. Our room seemed to run "warm" no matter the setting, and PLEASE put ventilation in the bathroom. Everything felt "damp" due to no ventilation. Breakfast is simple, but enough. Overall, for the price and location, I would recommend it
