We will stay again. Clean room and bedding, mattress was ok. Red Roof met our overnight rest needs for a budget price. We loved the flooring. No breakfast. Nice snack machine. Plenty of ice. Small coffee maker in room. Room was much cheaper than Topeka

We pulled off at the Red Roof Inn at Holton after the weather started changing and travel became difficult. We did not get to stay under the actual Red Roof but were given a room across the parking lot in what looked liked an abandoned old hotel. The thermostat was set at about 55 degrees, there were dead bugs on the floor, a cigarette burn in the comforter, the tv had in and out reception - and it just overall was not real great. But - we were grateful to be off the bad roads - so that was a plus. IF you choose stay there I would recommend that you make sure your room is actually in the main building. That side hotel could use a lot of work.

If I could give a zero I would. Says vending and ice(no vending not even bottle water) which is says is at the front desk. Cable freezes up after changing the channels twice. Says breakfast from 6-9:30 lol. NOPE they have old coffee from the previous day. But with a smile on their faces they will tell you no. Oh and the dryer is broke so after you wash your clothes you will need to hang dry in your room. What a joke

This hotel is simply sub standard, I could go on and on but I don't need to, suffice it to say I should have just slept in my truck. I won't stay here again, perhaps the owners and management will attempt to accomplish a score of 8.0 or higher in which case I will try it again, but I fear the direction they are headed is more toward a 5...

The only reason I gave it 1 star is because I can't give it 0! To begin with we were left waiting in the lobby with no one in sight! We pushed the required button many times only to have someone finally appear and complain that someone else was supposed to be there to take care of us. Should have been our sign! We progressed to our room to be greeted by an atrocious smell....the toilet was running over! There was what appeared to be poop on the bathroom door frame, the bedspread was filthy, there was grime in every corner. We went downstairs to talk to someone about it and had to retrieve the person we checked in with from outside on the phone. She was no happier now than she was the first time I requested service. She assured me we would not be charged for the night but to call Expedia and they would talk to them. She would not give it to me in writing nor give me her name. Long story short it took several phone calls to Expedia to get our money back. They denied everything of course.
