Motel 6 Owensboro KY

While traveling the country with 2 dogs and planning our next stop at the Bluegrass HOF we stayed here. We were given a nice room and found no problems altho wifi was iffy at times. For our stay it worked out. Nothing fantasic but we would stay here again

Absolutely deplorable. I called on multiple occasions to guarantee not only the type of run but inform as to my ETA. Each individual I spoke with was affable and agreeable. Upon arrival I was met by an individual behind the desk who maintained a locked door complete with a sign. He approached me in an aggressive manner in a hoodie to give me the news that he had no control over the rooms and that I did not have a room and he did not care. I attempted to reason with him to no avail. This facility appears to be a dangerous place. Strongly recommend an investigation as well as a loss of flag.

I booked this hotel because it was an amazing price on a Saturday night. The total after tax was $68, and there was no deposit. Now there was some guys sitting on the balcony playing their guitar, but that didn't bother me at all. The room was smoking like I preferred, but it was very small with a huge bathroom. The room was a handicap assessable, so the bathroom was my favorite. The room was very clean, but the Wi-Fi did not work and stated that the service was $4.99. I ended up using the hotspot on my cell phone. This made me a little upset, but considering the price, it was ok. If you are looking for an affordable, basic, clean place to stay, I would suggest this property.

This was the worse motel/hotel stay I have ever experienced. The room was dirty, and the room was infested with roaches. The phone looked like it had not been cleaned since the 1980's. I will never stay here again. I called the Motel 6 cooperate office and filed a complaint. They assured me that they would open an investigation. I also filed a complaint with the local health dept. due to the roach infestation. The people staying in the room beside me were smoking so much marijuana outside their front door that the exhaust system was pulling the smell into my room. It also appeared that several customers were actually living at the Motel 6 full time. I witnessed people cooking outside on a grill beside their door and people smoking pot outside their rooms.

We were there for 2 weeks, by no choice of our own. In that time not one house Keeper knocked on the door to see if we needed anything. We had to do our own cleaning and go to the office for our own supplies. We used a spray bottle of bleach and water to kill the bugs and sanitize the beds and rooms. Which we paid for. In total, we used over a gallon of bleach, Our last night there we cleaned the floors and discovered white round worms in The baseboards. They averaged 6" in length. At the end when we left, we forgot to get our cat. We went back to get her and the door was open to the room and a housekeeper's cart was there. I knocked and announced why I was there. There was no one there. So we proceeded to look for the cat, which we discovered, had gotten into the box springs of one of the beds. The manager and a housekeeper showed up at that time. The manager asked who I was and why we were there. Then immediately began to accuse me of stealing 4 sets of sheets, which in truth, were the last things we would steal. He wouldn't let us get the cat or the phone we realized we had also left behind and the housekeeper after seeing around 6 Walmart plastic bags, we had put trash in and tied, behind the door, and began to scream at me in a foreign language. The manager said, he was calling the police, and I said, good. I wasn't sure if he was calling or not, and I had forgotten my cell back at my new room. So, I went back and called the police and they met me there. I got my stuff back and the owner barred me from the hotel that was never going to receive my patronage again anyway. Long story short, Motel 6 in Owensboro, KY is a hazard to the health of everyone that stays there. It's the cheapest for a reason, and the savings isn't worth it.
