Motel 6 Louisville Ky Airport Fair Expo

Had booked through an app after long day at amusement park walked in front door of the lobby smell of weed would knock you down . Second door into main lobby smell hit you even harder. At that point was truly frustrated! Then the clerks attitude as in I could not afford a deposit just put me over the top. I’d rather have the booking fee up as to not put my family in that position is how broke I am. lol.

This hotel is 100% ghetto. The first time I stayed there on Memorial Day weekend, there were people dealing meth two doors down. I also stayed over July 4th weekend only because there were limited options but I can say definitely that after the experience with the head of housekeeping, I will never stay at a Motel 6 branded property ever again. The housekeeping manager harassed me. She was hideous and horrible. When I told her that I reported her to Motel 6 Corporate, she replied, “I don’t care.” That much was obvious. I’ve traveled to 50 nations and stay at hotels an average of 80 to 90 nights a year. I have never been treated with such overwhelming disrespect by a hotel staff person. I would rather have a root canal without anesthesia than stay at this epitome of a dump.

Upon arriving discovered that the agent had canceled my reservation that was made through the app, and without attempting to contact me. Reason for given for cancelation, name on the credit card didn't match the name of reservation and 6pm is their cancelation time. I arrived at 7:14 luckily there were still rooms left however the agent proceeds to explain that the rates had gone up. I asked how much, $10. So I booked the room. Around 12:30 someone set the fire alarm off which woke the whole Motel up, it was promptly shut off and the local fire crew showed up. Then around 5 or 6 am planes started flying over to the air port and were so loud you can not sleep. Quite unpleasant experience, I contact Motel 6 requesting at least a $10 refund and have not heard a response. Would not recommend and I do typically stay at alot of Motel 6's and have been for over 7 years.

I have to sleep in my car with my children because the man who checked us in didn't inform us of a $50.00 deposit AFTER taking the full amount of the stay off of our card and stole our money. We don't have any money left in our budget and we booked online. He told us we can give him cash if we didn't have money on our debit card for him to take extra like a drug dealer, He racially profiled us and had different prices for deposits on his wall that he made up. I have never had this experience in my life and I never want anyone else to be able to have to sleep in their car in a strange city due to a horrible man.

We never got the room, because she canceled us! Hear this story! The front desk is inside, but you check in outside by talking to the desk clerk through an intercom. The clerk apparently doesn't know it's hard to hear, and she doesn't care. She rattles through instructions without pausing. My old mother can't hear and keeps asking me questions, which I try to answer. "They need a $50 cash deposit," I explain. "Why?" my mother asks. I'm thinking that we don't have $50 cash and we'll have to go get it. My mother is thinking it's very strange to ask for cash. We're both getting frustrated because the desk clerk isn't stopping to listen to us at all, and as I'm trying to explain things to Mom, the lady just keeps on with her instructions. So, I try to keep things light, and I joke to my mother, "It's because we're wild and crazy ladies." (You know, the kind that will tear up a hotel room, like Joe Walsh.) Suddenly, the clerk says, "What did you say?" Haha! She could hear us!! She had just been ignoring us the whole time! I repeat to her, chuckling, "It's because we're wild and crazy." So she cancels our reservation!! "Okay, I'm not doing this," she says. And she tells us to call Expedia to get our money back. Bottom line, the desk clerk was very rude the whole time. And she cancelled our pre-paid reservation. WHICH! We still haven't gotten our money back! So, I wouldn't risk it. They're not pleasant people at that Hotel 6.
