Tru by Hilton University Medical Center

Tru is quickly becoming our favorite hotel! I love the bright, minimalist decor. Breakfast always includes a variety of tasty options. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We also enjoy the game area - great way to unwind at the end of the day. Only downside would be the soap dispensers in the rooms are challenging for family members with limited hand function (motion sensors or hand pumps would be great… or the option of a bar of soap)

Greeted promptly and courteously by front desk attendant. Check in process easy. Entered the room and pulled back covers - sheets had not been changed. Go back downstairs and was given another room. I’m not sure the sheets on the bed in new room had been changed either, but were not as wrinkled as the first room. I find it disgusting that sheets are not being changed in hotel rooms. This is NOT the first time I’ve had it happen…. Very disappointing.

Ginneria Harley runs a great operation at Tru by Hilton on Waller Ave. The fresh, clean smell is the first thing you notice as you enter the lobby. That continues as you enter your room. Breakfast offerings change each day but the pancake maker is the mainstay. Eggs/breads/oatmeal/yogurt/cereal also available daily. Coffee/Tea available in lobby 24/7. Staff is helpful and engaged! Lots of guests working in lobby daily, with plentiful seating available. Rooms have lots of charging ports and a small, rolling desk as well as comfortable mattresses and fresh bathroom! Location is just minutes from Lexington airport and UK Campus.

This hotel was a wonderful find for our one night stay during a road trip. The front desk staff was very friendly, and the hotel is decorated in a fun and modern decor. Most importantly, the hotel was very clean and fresh, including our room. The bed and pillows were super comfy. We will definitely look for Tru by Hilton hotels again for future stays.

I like staying at Tru hotels. It's always clean, you get free bottles of water when checking in and they have free breakfast in the morning. I use my Hilton Honors app to make my reservations. You earn points each time you stay, and when booking a stay you can use some or all of your points to bring the cost of your room down. Also you check yourself in and out through the app and use your smart phone to request your digital key which is handy. Very comfortable beds too. Only drawback was the construction next door. I realize it's only temporary so I'm not going to give a lesser review on this hotel because it's beyond their control.
