Brown's Motel Aberdeen

They advertised wi-fi, and don't have it!* I never stay at a motel without it, so this was a minimum criteria. When we got there, we were handed a sheet. The night clerk mentioned the wifi password. We moved in but no wi-fi! Back to the office where she says "we advertise it only in common areas'. Not true as far as I can tell (certainly advertised wifi on Booking.com) and astounding if it were true. The next morning we moved into a room that had it. The property from outside is in fair condition. The showers in both rooms were very ragged, though we wouldn't have rated it so low just for that, considering the price. * Not sure why the initial clerk didn't just put us in a room that did have service. The next morning the day clerk told us a woe about the repairman making repeated visits. This is not the travelers problem. To their credit, the day clerk offered us a refund, but the 2nd room worked and we had to get to our meeting. Bottom line - I wouldn't stay here till you see a rating that verifies the wi-fi.

Only getting a star because no option for zero. Room was terrible. No toilet paper or soap. Used soap on sink. Roach trap under sink. Old, beat up furniture. We slept on covers in our clothes (well”sleep” exaggerates, doze is more accurate.) Lucky husband had sweatshirt with hood he wore. We shared a pillow we brought with us. Someone had room above us that was into rearranging furniture. Only explanation for all the noise. Lasted late and started back up early. No clue on breakfast. No way we would eat there.

My bad luck landed me a few nights here due to work and the price is not bad I don’t guess, but the cleaning people didn’t clean my room at all and even used the toilet and didn’t flush it. The bed cover on the bed is nasty. They never changed my bedding or swept the floors. The maids make me very uncomfortable with what they wear. I feel like if you are going to run a business you need to make sure your maids are wearing appropriate clothing and not half shirts showing everything. the last night I stayed the cops had to come get involved due to 2 guys fighting, one which was the maintenance guy for the motel, because they were both seeing the same cleaning girl. very unprofessional all around.

I was coming thru late. Hotels not exactly plentiful in this area. I took a chance and despite some age it was a good experience. Room was small, bathroom was tiny but for a night not a bad deal at $45
