We booked for on night for my husband and I . The check in should have been a clue to how bad it was. Small window for check in with a human trafficking sign posted, you slide your card thru a slot and the he slides it back. Recieved our room key, the outside of the hotel look dilapidated and run down. We went around back to our room and the paint was all peeling off the door, when we went in the smell was horrible like they we're trying to cover up something. The paint was peeling off the walls and the plumbing under the sink appeared moldy. The pillows looked like they should be thrown away. We walked right out after I told my husband i would rather sleep in our car. Went back to check in area and rang the bell and called for over 10 minutes before he returned. I can not believe this motel is in bussiness. Inexpensive should not mean disgusting. Shame on you Motel 6.

We had booked a room at this Motel 6. We have stayed at some pretty skeezy places to save a buck, but it was gross. The mattresses were covered in period blood stains, had bed bug feces on them & one of the pillows had a bloodstain on it. The room reeked of pesticide. We decided not to stay there & promptly went to get a refund. Mind you, in the "lobby" there were "rules" taped everywhere. One of the rules was, "If you unmake the bed there will be no refund." Which is bull in chains, franchised or no. I have worked hospitality for years. The front desk woman got nasty with my wife & I. She told us that we put the stains on the pillow case, mattresses & there were no bed bugs. & said, "There are no refunds if you unmake the bed." I told her we have the right to check the integrity of the beds & that rule is not enforceable & we will get a refund. She kept arguing. I called Motel 6 corporate in front of her. She screamed like a child telling me to "SHUT THE F UP" in the middle of filing my report with them. They heard her. I told her, "DON'T F'N TELL ME TO SHUT UP". The agent apologized for her & said they were going to write it in the report along with the state of the beds. The desk lady disappears for 10-15 mins. She pops back up as my report is being processed. She tells me, backtracking, "I never said you weren't getting your money back." I repeat to her telling me the "unmade bed policy" & I tapped the sign that states it. & told her how corporate, who I'm still on the phone with said they can't do that. Guests have the right to check the beds. Again, she disappears. The manager finally appears with the refund paper for us to sign, desk lady is nowhere to be found & the manager says we'll get our money back in 5-10 days. The corporate agent on the phone said they'll follow up with us in 5 days. Also, while we were waiting to get a refund, before the incident occured - there was a woman who wanted her room either refunded or comped. Because they had been mean to her during her entire stay & her mattress was covered in period blood & bed bug feces too. She said she didn't encounter any live bed bugs, but still. She said the only reason she didn't leave as soon as she checked in was because she checked in late at night after being on the road for hours.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel that will descriminate against you because you have children and cats this is the place to be. The attitude given me when checking in should of been a clue but we were tring to save money and downgraded to a cheaper hotel. I did not picture that a cheap hotel would have such an attitude with paying customers and would take on the air that you were priviledged to be there and do not ask for anything. Another clue is the great care given to painting the doors to the room, which was peeling. I have included a picture of the door. The room had old plaster yellow white walls which they painted over with blue. The paint and plaster was chipping off everywhere. The tv barely worked with only 13 channels that actually had programs and an old remote that barely worked. We stayed for a week and had to chase down hotel services for clean towels and tiolet paper. Forget getting clean sheets ... the bed spreads had cigerate burns in them and the sheets and towels had stains. House keeping only serviced our room once in our stay. After 7 days they advised they deep cleaned rooms and would move us to another room. I swept the room and picked it before we packed our stuff out. I did leave three bags of trash by the trash can in the room tied. There was no other trash i the room. Amazingly we were told it was too messy when they went in to clean, which was a lie, that there was a ton of trash, which was a lie,that we refused to let them clean the room while there, which was a lie it wasnever offered and we had to run people down for supplies. They said they had to spend 30 minutes cleaning the room ... which considering they did not volunteer to do any cleaning during our stay did not seem unreasonable to me. I was then told the owner wanted to charge extra over the amount normal if we were to stay per night plus a deposit for cleaning fee ... which is price gouging. I plan to format my issues and add these to complaints with the city of Overland Park and with Motel 6 Corporate that others have filed. As we were leaving a gentleman that had the room down from us was checking out and advised to us that he was hassled continually due to having a cat. Pay the extra money and go to a place that actually provides service and respects the people who check in. There is none here.

This hotel is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed at the bedding was filthy and had burn holes on them. The floor was extremely dirty you could see the dirt and the bathroom was yuck 🤮 they even had the audacity to fold dirty towels as if they was clean. They even refused to give me a refund on this hell hole my children was even very unhappy and uncomfortable with the place. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE

We have never experienced a motel/hotel stay with the ugliest people we've ever met. Let me just tell you guys, my childrens father had gotten a room for himself a day before new years eve, and they charged him more. its usually 60 but they charged him 72 because they seen us with him. anyways him and i and our 2 kids were there to spend some time together and later on that evening my daughter(12 yrs) and i were going to leave and my son (which is 5 months) old was going to stay with him because he had gotten a one bed. so anyways we noticed that the so called manager (which is the receptionist boyfriend) was watching us from the side of the building and he played it off when someone came out of a different room he started to talk to them so he wouldnt look so obvious. after that he went next door to the other hotel that they work at as well. so his girlfriend ( the receptionists) calls up to the room and says that he cant have visitors then she changed it up and said that visitors cant stay all evening, we were so confused. ive never heard of that before in my life, though she was very rude in saying so. at about 6 pm, my boyfriend goes downstairs to ask the receptionist for a written policy on visitation and she kicked him out, we had only been there 3 hours and they kicked us out with our 2 kids saying that we had 3 adults in the room so 4 ppl were too much for one room. they called the police on us and everything. thank god the police were on our side and said that they were some nasty people and they get calls like that all the time. Now everyone always says BLACK PEOPLE are scary and intimidating which is bull, just because we dont take no crap from just anyone doesn't mean we're dangerous people. now when ppl mess with us and our kids for no reason and we get upset then a non black person wants to run and call the police. COWARDS are what they are, they will reap what they sow. this is the type of stuff that makes me want to hate people that dont look like me but thats not who i am. nasty people like them should not be running a motel where they have to be involved with people. they need prayer because thats all you can do for ppl like that. Nasty attitude, no refund, no remorse, liars and taking people for their money. which im sure theyre pocketing money from people. even the police said they are running a foul business!!!
