Holiday Inn Express And Suites Ottawa an IHG Hotel

On the surface this looks like the nicest hotel in Ottawa. Everything about the hotel is still new. However, on my most recent stay, I discovered the rooms have a bed bug infestation! I initially stayed 3 nights in room 323. That’s when the itching and welts began on my legs and back. I checked out. No new bites for the next 3 nights. Then I checked in again for another 3 nights. This time in room 419. New bites appeared again and that’s when it dawned on me what it was from. This place needs to close and do a complete extermination of the bed bugs before more people get bites on them!

Easy to find, front desk staff were friendly and efficient, breakfast was good (the cinnamon rolls are good at most HIE properties, but these were soft and wonderful). Room clean, bed really comfortable. Great shower pressure.

FRONT DESK: very nice and knowledgeable. ROOM: spacious and comfortable; beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are very clean. Microwave and mini fridge in the room. BREAKFAST: plentiful with good choices, cinnamon rolls are awesome; kept enough for everyone.

This is a really nice hotel. The rooms are clean, the lobby is clean, I liked everything about it except for one thing: they have a $50 per night pet fee. We travel with our pet a lot and this is excessive and unnecessary. In spite of this being a really nice hotel, we will not stay there again.

Wow, what a pleasant experience staying here! Friendly, efficient checkin. Spacious, well appointed room. Full size toiletries, comfy beds. And clean clean clean, everything sparkles. From the complimentary cookies and hot chocolate in the lobby to the bountiful country breakfast, this little hotel takes hospitality to a new level. I’ve stayed in hotels that charge more than twice as much yet didn’t come close to matching this one. Thanks for the great stay. I’ll be back next time I’m in town visiting my family.
