This is a fairly new property and it’s well-appointed, clean and surprisingly quiet given the neighborhood. That said, you can’t beat the location. Many restaurants and bars within walking distance. One of the best finds is Full Circle Diner. It just opened and serves brunch until 3, and then cocktails and late night eats. It’s definitely unique and already busy but worth the wait for brunch!

Lainey at the front desk was warm and welcoming and efficient. I felt appreciated as a guest. This hotel is a very nice property, very clean and conveniently located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. This is definitely a newer property that is well maintained. We encountered several housekeeping employees who all greeted us and were very friendly. I would happily stay here again.

I enjoyed a midweek visit for state baseball tournament. It’s a normal Courtyard stay that is fairly new so the rooms are clean. You can’t beat the location to visit the campus or do the bar scene in Aggieville. The biggest disappointment is how Marriott has never recovered from COVID and recognized loyal members. I am a lifetime Titanium member and you receive no benefits. You still pay the 15 dollars a night to park, no complimentary water, no food credit at the “bar” or no bonus points. Absolutely no options provided. We were also misled to believe that we did receive a food a beverage credit when we talked to the front desk in the morning but our receipt still showed food charges. Corporate really needs to address the loyalty program. It means nothing at many of their locations now. Other than me being a snob about my membership status. I did enjoy my stay and would stay here again.

I had booked a pre-paid non-refundable rate for this hotel 2 months in advance. I know this hotel gets busy on football/event weekends so I made sure to book as early as possible. When I arrived at 8:30pm to check in after 13 hours of travel, I was told that a pipe had burst “in the room I was assigned to” so I was out of luck and they had no other rooms available. I asked to see a picture of the room and it was completely under construction with the wood studs exposed. This clearly wasn’t a last-minute issue and there was no forewarning. Since I booked through Expedia, the hotel didn’t do anything to try to help. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to find a new hotel room since the city was basically sold out by that point. I had to move to a hotel a few miles away which required driving to my meetings instead of making the short walk which was the whole point of staying at this hotel. I was not offered any help from the hotel staff. I tried to call the manager the next day and was sent to voicemail. I never received a return call, apology, or better explanation as to why I was the only room that couldn’t be fulfilled. Multiple people checked in after me & I had colleagues arrive the day after me and they received their rooms. It was a very shady experience with terrible customer service. Why book a hotel 2 months in advance on a pre-paid rate if you will then get booted from the hotel?!

While this hotel is new with nice amenities, they charge for all of their food and coffee, unlike other Courtyards. They also clearly dufus consultants who are all fresh out of college with absolutely no understanding of customer experience. DO NOT HIRE CONSULTANTS to trip over Hundreds to pick up pennies! As a guest, I want to control my temperatures. If I get a room, I want to turn it to the temperature I want. In this case, I changed it to 67 degrees. I came back to my room thinking it would cool and comfortable. NOPE. They have a sensor that detects when you enter the room for the A/C to kick on. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Now I am sweaty and uncomfortable. The temperature is 104 degrees outside with a 60+ humidity index. REMOVE the A/C sensor system out Marriott! You have lost my patronage completely! FULL STOP!!! Don't mess with my comfort! If you don't fix it and stop implementing poorly thought out measures, you LOSE! I do not come back!!! FULL STOP!!! Customer experience is everything and you lost mine because of your failure to actual think through the problem you've created! If you want my money, you have to earn it! FULL STOP!!!
